Pressure is building on the Biden Administration from advocacy groups to enact new gun reforms in the wake of recent high-profile shootings. But, amid a raging debate about the border and plans for a massive infrastructure package, progress has been stalled.

A stark warning came from CDC Director Rochelle Walensky during her COVID-19 briefing today. Walensky fought back tears, saying she was scared about the, "impending doom," of another surge of Coronavirus in the United States. She urged people to take precautions for a little while longer to allow more time for the vaccine distribution process?

So, what implications does this have on California?

President Joe Biden on Thursday held his first solo news conference with reporters at the White House. While the president was not asked about the pandemic, he did tackle questions about the border, the filibuster and Afghanistan. Mr. Biden says Vice President Kamala Harris will play a key role when it comes to immigration.
