Jason went to Tulum, Mexico last week so the boys recap all the meals, plus we open with a good 20 minutes on how to whole foods properly.

This week Jason, Andre, and Chris welcome our pal Zach Brooks back on the show.  Zach runs the very popular podcast food is the new rock, and we ask him about some previous big guests he’s had over the years, we talk even more about the LA food world, tipping, benihana, crostini bars, xmas tamale making parties, our taco crawl, and organic produce delivery.

Doug Rankin is a chef here in Los Angeles, worked in many restaurants, most notably and recently running the kitchen at Trois Mec and then Petite Tois.  Doug recently left to pursue his own dreams and stuff like that, basically he has gone rogue.  The boys chat with him about all of that, plus some crazy stories, and some dishes he developed over the years at trois mec.  Also we drank scotch, so keep that in mind!

Peter Lemos is a chef from Los Angeles who’s worked at great spots all over town, but recently went in on his own venture, a small sandwich shop in LA’s Frogtown neighborhood.  It’s called Wax Paper, and features specialty sandwiches named after NPR hosts and it’s also delicious. Peter was also a contestant on CHOPPED, so thats tight.  We chat with him about his chef journey, what it took to open his own place, what goes down behind the scenes at Chopped, and so much more!

This week Jason Stewie & Andre grab a few beers and chat about service charge debates, whats working and not working, coffee companies being acquired by larger ones and how the pour over fallout effects us all, some holiday gift ideas, Star Wars, we do 20 minutes on popcorn, we talk about medieval devices you can buy for $2,500 at sur la table for squishing stuff and more!

Jason and Andre have their friend Bob Zamudio over for a few beers and a chat about craft service meals on TV & Movie sets, what jason ate in Miami for Art Basel, we take some twitter questions from a few friends, and Bob drops a few recipe favorites!

This week the boys chat about Thanksgiving recaps, Hawaii, mezcal again, and the normal stuff we always talk about!

Matthew Kang is the LA editor of Eater, a website that you probably know if you’re listening to a food podcast.  If you don’t, it’s basically the biggest restaurant and food news publication online!  We chat with Matt about his Korean upbringing, working with eater, tipping, enjoying meals more when they’re not free, coffee, restaurant recommendations, and much more!

This week the boys chat about the cold weather approaching, porridge recipes, postmates from the perspective of the restaurant, and more importantly we judge the Jonathan Gold top 101 restaurants of LA list.

This week Jason and Andre and you guys are lucky enough to have film producer Scott Mosier come pod with us!  Known for his work over the years with Kevin Smith, producing movies like Clerks, Dogma, Chasing Amy, and doing the weekly “smodcast” show with Kevin Smith.  Him and Andre went to the Belcampo Meat Company’s “Meat Camp” in Northern California earlier this month, and they came on to talk about all the great meat stuff they did!
