Another week and another MCU project is in the bag. Falcon and the Winter Soldier just recently wrapped up and The Stoop Kids are here to give their thoughts. But first Ralfy, Kai, and G recap the 2021 Oscars, which was very different this year to say the least. They also have some movie reviews to get to as well with the release of Mortal Kombat on HBO Max and Demon Slayer in theaters. As for Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the guys sum up their favorite moments, what could’ve been done better, as well as the future of these characters moving forward. If there are two things we appreciate down at the stoop, it’s videogames and movies. Unfortunately, Hollywood has not had the best luck when it comes to merging them into successful projects. For episode 73, Ralfy, Kai, and G seek to remedy that by discussing which videogame franchises would make awesome movies. Before we get into that though, let’s talk word on the street. There was a lot of casting news this week as Russell Crowe confirmed his Thor: Love & Thunder character, a Games of Thrones alum joined the MCU, and the OG Batman himself officially started filming for the Flash solo movie. Things get really silly for episode 72. Deciding to put their imaginations to work, The Stoop Kids think about what jobs their favorite celebrities would be doing if they weren’t famous. But before getting to the jokes, there is some news to get to. Our prayers go out as we mourn the loss of New York hip-hop legend DMX. Godzilla vs Kong finally hit HBO Max and theaters and appears to be certified hit, even if everyone on the stoop doesn’t agree. A lot has gone down since our last episode. With more news than we can keep track of, this week is dedicated strictly to the word on the street. Even with the Snyder Cut finally out, The Stoop Kids just can’t seem to get away from DC thanks to new casting reports for Black Adam, The Flash, and Shazam 2, multiple trailers for Suicide Squad, and developments regarding Ray Fisher, Joss Whedon, and the production of 2017’s Justice League. In other news, Space Jam: A New Legacy releases its first trailer and Netflix signs a huge deal for Rian Johnson’s Knives Out sequels. Also, the first three episodes of Falcon and The Winter Soldier are out on Disney+ and Ralfy, Kai, and G give their thoughts so far. It’s a jam-packed episode so stop by the stoop and check us out.

It’s award season, which means it’s time for tough critiques, criticism, and arguments here on the stoop. The Grammys just wrapped up and Oscar nominations just came out, giving us more than enough to talk about. In addition, Avatar and The Avengers continue to go back and forth over box office dominance. As for this week’s main topic and in the spirit of award season, The Stoop Kids discussed some of the biggest Oscar snubs in history. Marvel’s WandaVision has been one of the year’s most interesting additions to TV thus far. For episode 69, The Stoop Kids review the highly talked about show, discussing both its high and low points. But before getting to it, Ralfy, Kai, and G go back and forth regarding The Weeknd boycotting The Grammys and the impact of award shows as a whole. Coming 2 America is officially out on Amazon Prime and Kai and Ralfy have thoughts. Finally, Steven Spielberg and The Duffer Brothers have something cooking up their sleeves at Netflix and we can’t wait to see just what it is. Down at the stoop, we have somewhat of a complicated relationship with DC Comics or rather the movies that make up their extended universe. For episode 68 and to celebrate the release of Zack Synder’s Justice League, Ralfy, Kai, and G have decided to review all the DCEU films as part of their “dope or nope” series. Some are great, some are terrible, and others are just eh, but there’s sure to be a laugh or two thrown in as well as a couple of rants for good measure.  As far as news is concerned, Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man film finally has a title, new Avatar: The Last Airbender content is coming our way, and (speaking of DC Comics) we may be getting very different type of Superman coming very soon. We also wanted to congratulate this year’s Golden Globe winners, and as always don't forget to spread the word and stop by the stoop.

Episode three of After Hours sees Ralfy, Kai, and all-around intern/occasional guest Steffy Newton review one of their most anticipated films, “Judas and the Black Messiah” directed by newcomer Shaka King. Featuring a stellar cast including Daniel Kaluuya, Lakeith Stanfield, and Jesse Plemons among many others, the film tells the story of Black Panther Chairman Fred Hampton and undercover informant William O’Neil as the FBI works to dismantle the young revolutionary and all he’s built. Smartly written and beautifully shot, the guys get into what makes “Judas and the Black Messiah” the best HBO Max release so far. As always spoiler alert and enjoy!
