At the stoop, we pride ourselves on our wild, often ridiculous imaginations. Since the videogame industry has been pretty scarce with releases in the last couple months, Ralfy, Kai, and G thought up a few crossovers that should definitely happen but never would. Before getting into that, the guys wanted to send prayers to Kanye West, as well as talk about Avatar: Legend of Korra coming to Netflix in August. If there’s one thing we generally don’t like down at the stoop, it’s movie remakes. Some are ok but let’s be honest, most are horrible. Episode 43 sees Ralfy, Kai, and G confronted with their biggest challenge yet: remaking 10 classic films with all new casts and directors. There’s bound to be some arguments but in the end it’s all jokes. Other news includes The Stoop Kids pondering if Jonelle Monet would make a good Storm for the X-Men’s MCU debut, whether they’re confident that movies going back into production is a good idea, and if the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise could survive without Jack Sparrow. In an episode filled with fights, jokes, and imagination, it’s one you don’t want to miss.

As the summer carries on, a cookout or two seems to be inevitable. This got The Stoop Kids thinking about what movie, TV, and videogame characters they’d bring to their family barbecues. Some are obvious and some are good cause for debate, but it all makes for one fun game of “Who’s coming to the cookout?” As for the word on the street, new versions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Scott Pilgrim vs The World may be coming our way very soon. Summer 2020 is officially here and while we’re still technically in quarantine, there’s no stopping the beach days, cookouts, and long drives with the windows rolled down. Ralfy, Kai, and G bring in the season by talking about their favorite albums and songs for the summer. Damn, what a year it’s been. 2020 isn’t even halfway done and it’s already one for the history books. Seeing as there’s not a day where it doesn’t feel like the world is ending, The Stoop Kids wanted to talk about their favorite post-apocalyptic movies. Whether they involve zombies, aliens, super-intelligent apes, or just the weather, these movies help Ralfy, Kai, and G feel a little better about the world’s current state of affairs. Joined by a few special guests, they also address some rumors surrounding a new Superman film and an alternative cut of 2016’s Suicide Squad. As the world makes an attempt at getting back to normal, the guys return to the stoop. Ralfy, Kai, and G catch up on what’s been going on around the nerdverse since they were forced inside for quarantine. In the past couple of weeks, we lost a few legends in Andre Hurell, Fred Willard, and Jerry Stiller. In the realm of TV and movies, The Mandalorian’s cast is growing with the addition of Boba Fett among a few others. Christopher Nolan’s Tenet is still slated for the big screen and The Stoop Kids question how the movie industry will look after quarantine has ended. Theaters are taking a hit and that might not end anytime soon because Justice League: The Snyder Cut is coming to HBO Max, and the guys give their thoughts on whether it will be any good. Then, wrapping up their SicFlix series, they review 2019’s Uncut Gems. 

Finally, the Stoop Kids address the protests across America and around the world while sending a rest in peace to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmad Aubrey, and the countless other African Americans who have lost their lives to racism and police brutality. May their names be remembered and the voices fighting against injustice ring out for generations. For the eighth and hopefully final installment of their SicFlix series, The Stoop Kids reviewed 2002’s Minority Report. Directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise, many fans tout the film as severely underrated. The Stoop Kids agree though they will admit the movie isn’t without its flaw. Stop by the stoop and tune in!

Great Scott! The Stoop Kids are back with another blast from the past. This week they review the 1985 sci-fi classic Back to the Future. This movie needs no introduction. Directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, this time travel story is one for the ages. If you’ve seen it, then tune it. If you haven’t seen it, then still tune in but watch this damn movie!

The Stoop Kids asked for a bad movie and boy did they get one. The week, Ralfy, Kai, and G watched 2010’s The Last Airbender and oh shit is it terrible. It’s without a doubt one of the worst movies they’ve ever seen, and the guys have no problem telling you why in gritty detail. Fortunately, The Stoop Kids watched it, so you don’t have to. Next week we take a trip through time to review the 80s classic Back To The Future. See you then!

In week 5 episode of our SicFlix series, The Stoop Kids watched the 2010 drama “The Social Network” directed by David Fincher. It’s a movie filled with great dialogue, great characters, and an amazing soundtrack. If you’ve seen it then you already know all this.
