Leviticus is a lightning rod for critics of Christianity and a stumbling block for many new believers. People often say things like, "I like Jesus, but what is up with Leviticus?" and "Christians say God is love, but Leviticus..."
Here’s the problem: almost all of what people say about Leviticus is wrong. These are the facts:
+ Leviticus was written at a time when God's people were toeing the line between survival and demise.
+ The laws that Moses handed down were meant to offer God's people a healthier, holier, and happier way of life.
+ While Christians today aren't bound by the letter of these laws, we are bound by the heart of Leviticus. God still calls His people toward healthy choices, holy disciplines, and happy dispositions.
So here's the plan: for thirty days, The Story is challenging you to live differently. Check out www.thestory.church/30day for more details. Sunday sermons will focus on Leviticus throughout the month of June.
