Season 3 is here!!  

The factory has just exploded. Will and Kym are devasted, and the mysterious Messenger watches them, then turns way. Tristan announces that "Lune saved us all." Hermann reports to Tristan, who is resolved to uncover more of the Phantom Scythe's plans.  

Later, Will and Kym are sitting dejectedly in the hospital, looking at prone Lukas, still in a coma. Kym flashes back to the night's events, but her memories are distorted and she sees herself as responsible for Lauren's death. She awakens when Lila comes to visit and the three hug.   

Kym tries to call Lauren, and Will tries to comfort her.  

Meanwhile at the factory, the APD discovers two charred bodies and attributes them to Lune.

Poppy chats with Erdene while waiting for Tora to get out of the shower. She asks about his apartment's cleanliness, and tells her something that WE CAN'T SEE!!  

A shirtless Tora looks for a shirt, looking ripped. Poppy sees a closet full of potential future jackets.   

As she unpacks in his unused bedroom, she wonders why he is acting weird, and wishes he would serve as her distraction. Speaking of which, she has unconsciously packed a very sexy nightie.  

They awkwardly watch TV together while Tora remembers how he felt when he smelled his soap on her. She, meanwhile, loves his food smell. Tora can cook! Sadly, Tora and Poppy's thoughts about physicality are at polar opposites.

We see how the burglar got away from Gyu - by jumping into the river and speeding away on a speedboat. Very subtle. We discuss what these new details mean. (Hint: we’re confused.)   

Gyu, disheveled, shares how he had to convince the police not to come up to Poppy’s apartment. In his great appreciation, Tora asks Gyu why he was asleep at his post. Gyu defends himself by saying he was tired from all his part-time jobs, and Tora tells him he should have come to him for money. Gyu doesn’t want to be a charity case.  

While Poppy checks her drawer for Tora’s ring and bracelet, Gyu and Tora’s arguments escalates, and Tora slams Gyu into the wall, breaking Poppy’s flowerpot. Poppy doesn’t know what to do but Gyu (respectfully) tells her to stay out of it. They fight some more, and we see how Gyu had his leg broken last time.  

We discuss this fight and I share a possibly unpopular opinion.  

Poppy yells at them to stop, and before Tora goes outside for a smoke, he asks her if she still wants to stay with him. She agrees, and he has a sad look, which we pick apart. When Tora leaves, Poppy’s legs start shaking, and she sits down while Gyu cleans up and rants about Tora, while simultaneously defending him.   

Tora comes in and he and Gy banter while letting Poppy pack her “lady things;” we sense that Tora feels bad. He also indirectly apologizes. Poppy overhears Tora telling Gyu that he told her enough to keep from dumping him, implying he sees them as being in a relationship.   

Later, at his house, Tora approaches Poppy after a shower, showing us more of him than we’ve ever seen before. We discuss how it would feel to have sexual contact after the crazy, heated day they’ve had.

Sam and Charles are headed to the office, and Charles notices that Sam is tired. Sam tries to comfort him by acting sweet, but Charles does not react and is cold. Sam contrasts that with his warm behavior last night and recalls his earlier declaration of not being available for a relationship. She struggles with that, and it is clear that Charles is struggling too.

The office is meeting about the Ellesemere project. Sam comes late, having spoken with a client, a sign of her growth. Unfortunately, she lets out a "lewd" groan when sitting down, turning her and Charles bright red. Totally not a giveaway. 

Umed reminds everyone that the blood drive is today, resulting in a very freaked out Charles.

Triss visits Kaer Mohren, where she is quickly rejected by Geralt romantically but enlisted to help train Ciri. She helps uncover both Ciri's monolith-toppling power and her Elder Blood.  

Meanwhile, in Gors Velen, Yen and Cahir are on the run, with an emotionally evocative encounter in the sewer and a surprising reunion with a newly matured bard, Jaskier, now acting as a rescuing Sandpiper. He is not mature enough, however, to avoid an altercation with the dock guard, and an act of redemption saves them all. But the lute crash at the end lets us know that not all is clear...

Charles returns from walking Bowser, and encounters Marshall. Marshall is summarily rejected by Bowser, and Charles can't help but give a little chuckle. Charles thanks Marshall for getting Eva out of the way yesterday, and Marshall tells him he did it for his sister and for Sam. This seems to make Charles uncomfortable - jealous?? With his comment to Bowser, he certainly seems to be.  

Marshal heads to the Daily Grind, where he draws a new picture in return for some eats. He sees Angela and Link talking excitedly about football, and seems a little wistful. Meanwhile, Vikki comes in and embraces him from the protection of Abe's hoodie, and 4th wall breaking ensues.  

We soon see who he has met for breakfast: Monica! And discuss the viability of their relationship.

We open to Charles' British cottage, and him coming home, calling "Gweneth!" just as he did when he discovered his wife cheating on him. This time, however, he sees Sam at the counter, apologizing for not staying off her feet. We see her pregnant, and she refer to their babies.   

Charles is highly distressed, and falls over, thinking to himself, "This isn't real."  

He wakes up, and sees sleeping in bed with Sam. He nuzzles her awake, and we see an open condom package on the side table. Sam has trouble getting up, and apologizes for her weak body.   

She asks if Charles enjoyed it too, and he replies in the affirmative. He smiles proudly when Sam says she enjoyed it more than she expected to, and gasps at seeing his marks on her butt. She asks when they can do it again. :)  

Meanwhile, Mr. and Mrs. Young are at the airport. While Mrs. Young goes to the bathroom, Mr. Young checks his phone and sees a report from "Agent 1" with a picture of Charles and Sam at her apartment, saying that he spent the night. He gets so upset he cracks his phone. THE NERVE.

We also discuss Sam's situation.

Charles and Sam sit on the couch comfortably with Bowser happily perched on Charles' lap. Sam decides to ask Charles about his goals. He deflects at first, but does reveal that he only focuses on the short term. He showcases his fatalistic and depressing philosophy of hopelessness.   

Sam gives him a taste of his own medicine, and dishes out some hard truths. She then changes the topic and the mood get flirty.  

Charles follows Sam to her bedroom to help her "get changed," but Sam is too nervous to proceed. Charles pulls her to his lap and assures her she should only do what she feels comfortable doing. HE CALLS HER LOVE!!!  

And then... Sam tells him that she wants him. ALL of him. They kiss and we melt!!  

And for our final scream inducing moment (yes, we all scream), Charles DROPS THE CHAINS!! 😱

In this episode with Sadie and Veronica, the elves are restored to X'intrea, and Lambert challenges Ciri to real training on a deathly Ninja Warrior style obstacle course. Vesemir and Geralt bury Eskel, and Geralt uses Ciri to track the Leshy, leading them to a new monster called the Myriapod. Yennefer returns to Aretuza, only to be met with suspicion from the Brotherhood, especially Stregebor. To prove her loyalty, she must kill the Nilfgaardian prisoner, Cahir, but at the last minute, she escapes with him instead.
