Mr. Lawson tells Marshall that he is getting older and wants to make peace. Eva tries to convince him that their father was genuinely concerned. Marshall accepts this for now, but tells their father that he isn't the only one his father's harmed, and he will be staying away.   

We discover that Marshall has a baby sister, and that Mr. Lawson and Eva may have been collaborating more than we think.  

We discuss Mr. Lawson's "apology," Marshall's reaction, and Eva's relationship with her father.  

Marshall (and not Eva) races up the stairs, where he finds Sam and Charles locked in passionate embrace (sort of). He quickly covers for them to get Eva out of the way, pretending to be very concerned with a keychain Bluebell. He's our wingman!

Poppy tells Tora never to call her the B word again, and Tora apologizes. He tells her that backhanded jabs mess with his head, and we discuss possible reasons why. Poppy contemplates her jab and how much it reminds her of Julri's behavior.  

She explains that she has a hard time being direct with someone when she is upset at them, and Tora figures out why.  He starts reading her note, but Poppy tries to grab it away from him. Tora stars telling her not to run after busses again but shuts his mouth when he realizes he isn't supposed to know that.   

He apologizes for what he did at the cafe and decides to finally tell her about his upbringing. He tells her it was rough on the streets, and that Poppy should NOT cut him slack, and do what she needs to do to feel safe.   

She comforts him with a touch, and Tora pokes fun of the term Quincy always calls him: Neanderthal. He tells Poppy that yes, he is a tough guy, and then we have the best fourth wall break ever. Sorry, Tora, we did think you were a life coach.   

Their conciliation turns flirtatious, but Tora turns away, wanting her to know who he really is before they become a c... a c....  At which point, our dear darling but totally poorly timed boy does some home invasion of his own: Gyu, who couldn't catch the intruder.

Poppy thinks back to the attack, and how her current reaction is her being numb, not calm. They keep hugging, and Poppy tells herself she will talk to him later about what happened earlier.  

The moment she tells Tora she is feeling better, he licks her! We discuss possible explanations.   

Tora, uncomfortable, mentions going to look for Gyu, and Poppy begins flashing back to the attack, getting visibly agitated.   

Tora selflessly offers to get the cops or take her to Erdene or Jacob. Poppy doesn't want to get them involved, and asks Tora if she can stay with him that night.   

We discuss Tora's reaction.  

And then... the volcano. Poppy is accidentally triggered to what happened earlier that day, and an explosive argument erupts. Tora leaves to cool down, and Poppy very bravely goes to apologize for exploding, while still not letting him off the hook for what happened earlier.  She hands him a note detailing her feelings, and he takes it.

Eva accompanies Marshall to the hospital, where Marshall cracks the doctor up (not) by making a totally not overused joke.

The doctor tells him that his heart is fine and he can slowly resume his normal activities. Marshall responds by parting from his bracelet, Mortimer, with the cutest chibi face ever.

The doctor also warns the sibling that the heart condition may run in the family, and recommends that Eva and their parents get checked.

Marshall thanks Eva for coming with him to the appointment, and they share a sweet moment, only to be interrupted by the unexpected presence of Daddy Lawson, who looks suspiciously like Charles. We discuss.

We switch to Sam and Charles, driving home. Sam is reading the printout Umed gave her containing positie reviews from Indigineer. She is so touched that she begins crying, and her third heart is unlocked. What implications does this have moving forward? We'll find out.

While walking her to her apartment (where Eva and Marshall may show up shortly!), Charles suggests that Sam may not want to go out due to her emotional day. Sam thinks about it and agrees, and Charles turns away, disappointed - but Sam grabs his arm and suggests that they eat in.

Gyu enters and realizes what has happened. Tora sends him after the intruder, and we discuss his leadership in delegating. Gyu's biggest fan praises him to Mrs. Haru. Tora takes Poppy's praises as personal compliments.   

Tora asks Poppy to recount what happened, and we credit Poppy for her resourcefulness.   

They end in another hug and with Poppy teasing Tora.

Lauren, listening in to the conversation at the Carmine Camellia,  receives some interference. She looks at the garden and sees the Messenger, seemingly appearing out of nowhere. TUNNEL THEORY!  

The Messenger joins the meeting, informs them that the leader is unhappy about Lune's work, and threatens their heads.   

They discuss whether the leader already knows about their plan, and Sake expresses impatience with their slow speed. The Messenger informs them that Apostle Seven wants to wait till he is sure he can overthrow both the royals AND the leader. So much information for Lauren to scribble down.  

Meanwhile, we see a red clothed ninja zipping around the on the roof. Now who could that be?  

We learn that the leader still claims that his goals are equality, whereas Seven doesn't even bother paying lip service to those goals.   

The ninja sits and takes out his own radio receiver, and wouldn't you know? Lauren's stops working as well.   

They both try to get closer, only to find themselves dangling off the side of the same roof, staring at each other.   

They get back on the roof, where the ninja throws stars at Lauren, and they engage in hand to hand combat until Lauren has the ninja pinned beneath her and rips off his mask... only to find that she is positioned (quite romantically) over none other than Kieran.
