Poppy contemplates whether or not to show up at Tora's place (who told her about it?  We discuss.) when a creep feeling entitled to Poppy's attention makes up her mind for her.

She runs to Tora with the thugs (not to be confused with thuglets) in hot pursuit. She still has the time to notice his shayna punim.

Meanwhile, Ben has found his mom. We see an incredibly elegant figure in a silk robe while poor Ben falls flat on his face. What a contrast.

We flash back to Candy and Ben trying to sell the pin. Is it really synthetic? Did the dealer recognize the symbol as clan and want nothing to do with it? And what is Scharch doing there?

Back at the game hall, Poppy gets to see Ares Street "in its fully glory" - everything Tora didn't want her to see. Yet Poppy is still sympathetic rather than condemnatory, just the way she sees Tora.

We end with Tora asserting their position and await what happens next!

Get ready, y'all. Anxiety through the roof.  

We begin with March scribbling off a note and stating he has the address. Is he sus, or, as Meg says, are we just paranoid?  

Meanwhile at the factory, sandwich guy has woken up, and is wrapped in a full body embrace by Kieran. (Some of us simps wouldn't mind being in that situation.)  

Kym and Will try to contact the police station, and when the storm impedes, Kym dashes into the rain, dragging the unsuspecting Will along. Dripping wet, they stuff themselves into a Tardis, after which they are picked up by Lukas, who is babysitting a terrified would-be thief. Poor thief. He chose the wrong person's lamp to steal. We're sure the valiant Butler saved her.  

Back at the factory, Lauren and Kieran fight off several PS guards, and then share the most endearing moment together. They low five! He calls her love. We debate whether or not Kieran has feelings for Lauren at this point, conscious or unconscious, and how having only one person as your social outlet is unhealthy.  

Predictably, the lights go out. More people are approaching, and Lauren and Kieran take position. Lauren bangs the gun out of the intruder's hand, pushes them against the wall, and is about to punch them when the red emergency light flashes on (because Lauren has been lying to Kym???) and Lauren and Kym are staring each other in the face.  The drama!!!!

Their conversation gets more serious as Lauren asks him why he doesn't kill, and Kieran responds... seriously.  

But then Lauren asks one question too many, asking him about the hyacinths he leaves behind. Kieran obfuscates and quickly changes the conversation, pretending it's only about the royal symbol.  

We readers, however, are privy to a harrowing flashback: a younger Kieran killing someone and stringing him up from a chandelier (henceforth to be known as Chandelier Man), and looking at him with dead eyes.

Lauren is dangling off the roof, about to get killed by an assassin, when another assassin (*her* assassin) chops his head off. Lauren is taken aback, and there's a lot to read in Kieran's expression.   

A moment later, when Kieran himself is under attach, he raises his sword, only to hit the assassin with his elbow instead of killing him. 

He asks Lauren how she is doing, but she is too shaken to do more than nod. She thinks back to Kieran's previous statements and can't fathom why.  

Back at the cave, Lauren and Kieran take care of their wounds, and Lauren sees that Kieran's back is full of old scars. She sees his struggling with his bandages, and insists on helping him. Tender moments ensue in which Kieran has someone else taking care of him for the first time in probably a long time.   

Still clutching the bandage, Lauren, her hand shaking, says something that Kieran doesn't catch. Tune in to the next episode to find out what she says!

Aaaaaaaand... we're back!

Our dedicated Poppy is job searching, and is inexplicably rejected by a place with impossible standards. While budgeting, she receives a text from Benjamin, and is so distracted that she misses the bus. 

We soon see her sitting with Benjamin at the best sliced beef noodle soup joint in Narin City, per Ben. Ben apologizes for stealing her pin and then proceeds to attack Poppy with a barrage of rude and clueless statements. His judgment helps Poppy realize that perhaps she's been doing a bit of judging of her own.

Their conversation is interrupted by a very nosy cockroach, causing Ben to fling his soup all over a mysterious velvet suited person.

We switch scenes to a game hall, where we (breath sigh of relief) see our beloved Tiger boy. He wins against Neko-Chan but returns the money - what was he saving up for before?

Back at the restaurant, the mysterious velvet suited man turns out to be none other than Mr. Rude Waffle House son, only with a clothing upgrade. Real name: Dollar Store Jared Leto/Lizard Person. He comes with backup, and is threatening Poppy and Ben.

The nearby vendors think about intervening, and recall how both of Alice's boys were the only ones who cared about them.

We pull back to Tora smoking outside the game hall, contemplating the hazy sky. His peace is interrupted by the sight of Poppy running full speed at him, yelling, "Run!"

The two PS movers converse and their conversation is benign and stating the obvious... or is it??? To Meg's chagrin, we bring in the Kieran betrayal theory again, and speculate on what could happen with the mixed boxes. 

We briefly pop into the APD and learn that Larry is going to check on the radio equipment on the roof. March says he will check on him if he isn't back in 15 minutes, which means that obviously, Larry won't be back in 15 minutes.  

Will he get assassinated by a PS operative? Is HE a PS operative? Will March throw him off the roof? Will March get thrown off the roof? So many fun possibilities!  

Meanwhile, poor Kym and Will are suffering in the rain. Kym hopes it will be a quiet night. Sure, Kym. You'll get a quiet night.  

Lauren and Kieran look for a phone and end up finding a sandwich. Also a guy eating said sandwich. In a hidden room. Filled with police radio transceivers.  

The phone gets smashed. So does the man's head. Also, goodbye, sandwich. No one gets to eat you.  

Kieran puts on his sexy voice and attempts to sedu- cough -warn the APD. Of course, though, the communication is cut off. Storm? Larry? March? You decide.

When pressed for more, Lauren seems defeated, but strengthens herself and apologizes. Kieran accepts it, and moves to talk about their next mission.   

Some time later, while paying a visit to Beatrice Blakesley, Lauren and Kieran find themselves pursued by hired ninja assassins. A bit ironic.   

They duel it out on the rooftop, and Lauren is shortly dangling off of it, an assassin about to do his job, when suddenly...

We open with a grim and windy sky, and Hermann checking in on the radio operation. We learn that a storm is impending - we're sure to hear more on that in the future!

We then see our favorite resident duo on a roof overlooking the glass factory, back in their Lune outfits. Whilst having no plan, they confidently do some long jumps (correction: turns out that Olympic jumps are over 8 METERS, not 8 feet :D) and break into the factory, despite Kieran still suffering from his injuries.

They observe that the guards are all armed, and sneak their way down to the basement, where they are confronted by a wide variety of mirrors, which are randomly (or not???) scattered about.

They enter a storeroom, where they discover that the boxes containing mirrors are a front for weapons smuggling. Kieran has a tragic reaction to his reflection, and we get more insight into how he sees himself. Fwoot may have raised an even angstier thought at this point.

Lauren wants to leave, but Kieran wants to explore further. Is he acting strange because he isn't feeling well? Or is it something more nefarious? Join us in our anguished cries as we speculate all the ways in which Kieran could betray/sorta betray Lauren.

We learn that the explosion date has been moved up, speculate on whether that means the ball or not, and then end with all sorts of tragic and dramatic speculations for the next arc now that Lauren has made her final statement: that they go to the police.
