The Strategic Creator with Nicole Vincent

In this interview, I’m talking with Haley, a stay-at-home mom of two who started the Amazon Influencer Program in December 2025 and spent her first few months feeling stuck.

From December through April, she had made around $1,000 total, even though she was putting in the time and effort. Then she decided to slow down, invest in learning, take Data Coach Claire’s course, and really understand product research, video strategy, and how to use tools like Oink, Viral View, and Jungle Scout.

That shift changed everything.

By June 2026, Haley had made around $5,500 through the Amazon Influencer Program, and during Prime Day she had a single day around $1,400 between onsite and Creator Connections commissions.

In this Amazon Influencer tutorial, I’m breaking down one of the most important metrics to pay attention to inside your Creator Hub: average view duration.

After Data Coach Claire surveyed around 200 active Amazon Influencers, one of the biggest predictors of top carousel placement was average view duration. Once I started adjusting my own strategy and making my Amazon shoppable videos a little longer, my income started growing significantly. In June 2026, I had my biggest Amazon month ever, with almost $13,000 earned on Amazon alone.

In this video, I’ll show you where to find your average view duration, how to understand your Amazon shoppable video link metrics, why longer videos can help you become more competitive, and what to look for when researching products with tools like Viral View, Influencer Fruit, and other placement extensions.
