Jordan Peele’s third directorial at bat, ‘Nope’ is his most expensive production yet, with a budget of $68 million. And it’s worth every penny. Similar to most Hollywood productions, the film is underexposed in order to create a mood. This trendy technique I typically denigrate. But ‘Nope’ emotes differently. So I decided to spend the next week underexposing my street photography work.

Why would a street photographer care about new movies being underexposed?

There's few people I know that would say 'no' to a $1 million gift. But there's always a catch. 

I was thrilled to see Ooky-Spooky again. Her fuzzy, batty ears immediately knew it was my voice calling her.

But this warrants explanation.

My first camera was a hand-me-down. I received it in 1997. Fresh to Tucson and fresh out of lockup. The Pentax compatible was my father’s. It’s probably the camera my pops used to take portraits of my mother on one of their first dates. That was his pick-up line at the disco. 

So let's call my first light box my birthright.
