We’re closing out our revisit of the 5 Tips of Becoming a Strong Ass Sunflower… and this one is powerful.
Because what better way to wrap this series than by talking about advocacy, courage, and knowing your rights—not just for yourself, but for others?
In this episode, we sit down with Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch, also known in the Austin community as Abogada Kate—an immigration attorney and CEO who has dedicated her life to standing beside families navigating some of the most complex and emotional moments of their lives.
From a defining experience early in her legal training to building a career rooted in justice and humanity, Kate shares what it really means to use your voice with intention.
Together, we explore:
This episode is the final chapter in our #5 Tips series, and we couldn’t imagine a better way to end it—because being a strong ass sunflower isn’t just about growth… it’s about standing tall, speaking up, and showing up for others.
If you’ve ever felt unsure, overwhelmed, or afraid to use your voice—this conversation is for you.

Hello Strong Sunflowers 🌻
It’s time for Tip #4 of Becoming a Strong Ass Sunflower: Learn to Ask for Help.
In this episode, we sit down with Austin-based documentary filmmaker Lauren Lindbergh, who is living this lesson in real time. As she works to bring her film Fall of the Phoenix to life, Lauren shares the vulnerability of asking for help, the courage it takes to be honest about what you need, and how community can completely change the trajectory of your journey.
We talk about her experience navigating brain injury, the inspiration behind her documentary, and the powerful reminder that no dream is built alone. Just like the rolling credits of a film, it takes a whole field of people—mentors, friends, supporters, and believers—to help us bloom.
This episode is a reminder that asking for help is not weakness, it’s wisdom. Your hummingbirds, bees, butterflies, and fellow flowers are already in your field… you just have to let them show up.

Hello Sunflowers 🌻
In this episode, we reflect on our third annual Love Your Body Retreat just outside Austin, Texas, and the powerful transformations that unfolded. We share the moments that moved us, the conversations that shifted perspectives, and the deep reminders about body positivity, boundaries, and living authentically.
We talk about what happens when women gather in community with intention — how nature softens us, how vulnerability connects us, and how healing becomes possible when we feel safe, seen, and supported. This episode is a reminder that self-love isn’t a trend — it’s a practice. And when we root ourselves in it, everything begins to change. 🌻
