This episode examines Marx's subjective take on machines how they enable the enslavement of the proletariat. As he is throwing shade on innovation and improvement of the quality of life, he takes shots at women and people of the "wrong" age.

He has a weak understanding of good economics and writes against the very phenomenon which would lead to higher wages and social mobility.

Ultimately, Marx dreams of the violent and murderous overthrow of the generalized category of the bourgeoisie.

Slight format change, instead of rushing through as many topics as possible, I will go slower with more detail. Hopefully, this will result in a better listening experience.

The focus of this episode will be: the Phenomenon of Overproduction, and the problem of "too much civilization." Marx believes these to be free market phenomena.

Many people talk about communism and Marx as if they have read him, but I think it is clear they have not; if they did, they did not understand what he was saying. This episode begins a 4 episode trek into the Communist Manifesto focusing on Marx's own words.

One may choose to continue to be a fan of Marx, but most people may be tempted to find something better. 

Keeping in line with "reset definitions" as explained in Ep 7, this episode explains socialism in broad terms to contrast with freedom and the free market. The primary reason socialism fails is because it is NOT voluntary. When majority rules, the minorities suffer and choices are reduced.

Using the thought example of toilet paper development, the benefits of voluntary cooperation in the free market are explained. Voting with our dollars (purchases) is a much better system than what socialism can offer because most people get what they want most of the time. Those who are not satisfied have the freedom to create what they want.

Building on this podcast's understanding of race and privilege, this episode takes a critical look at institutional racism which favors white supremacy. Using the example of basketball, institutional racism becomes a matter of fact. This also leads us to the natural solution: repeal hypocritical laws and regulations.

People are often sloppy with their race theory. The sloppiness is particularly obvious with the tying of various racial markers with one's skin color. In other words, is one's math ability tied to one's color? Accepting the premise that they are not means that white privilege may exist but not in the way that people think.

This episode explains privilege as understood in the university and makes the argument for many other kinds of privilege, including black privilege.

Though I forgot to mention "dollar privilege."

This episode touches on the differences between thinking in terms of groups and individuals.  Collectivism is always a racializing activity which ignores the needs and priorities of the individual. Society would be better if it catered to the individual rather than the collective.

The minority always suffers in a majority rules world. I have always said, only to discover later that Ayn Rand said it before, that the individual is the smallest minority. Everyone eventually realizes their minority status, often too late.

I will forever be a military wannabe and I respect the willingness to sacrifice for others.

For them, including many of my former students who are currently active and former military, I am anti-war. But I am in good company, Thucydides, Sun Tzu, Ponsonby, and Butler.

I always say it in class... "Cut me, and you'll see I bleed Red, White, and Blue."

Using the tool of deconstruction, this episode presents a better understanding of race which enables us to see the subjectivity and agenda/goal of other more narrow race theories.

This SIMPLE understanding enables a clear understanding or racism and all of its varieties and more importantly, a better understanding of personal identity.

Using the method of deconstruction, this episode deconstructs the construct of "religion" and RESETS and posits a better more nuanced definition. If all belief is a kind of religious belief, then political activism is religious activism.

We can plainly see this now in many debates. Science and politics have become the new dominant religions.
