Scott was also a two-time NCAA National Champion in the Hammer throw event event of Track & Field, and went on to compete in two Olympic Trials. Set on making the Team in his 3rd Olympic Trials, Scott was derailed when a tragic accident turned him into a quadriplegic. Paralyzed from the neck down, he was told he would never walk again.
