Mike Evans was a top 2 dynasty ASSET going into 2017, but after a decent start to the season, he fizzled and was abysmal in the second half of the season; did “The Brain” and “The Beard” jump off the bandwagon along with the majority of dynasty owners? Robby Anderson experienced a breakout season, but nine offseason charges of (allegedly) resisting arrest have dynasty owners wondering about his availability… and his overall value. Fantasy stars Stefon Diggs and Alshon Jeffrey shined brightest on the grand stage of the NFC playoffs – Diggs with the Minnesota Miracle and Jeffrey with a champion’s performance in the Super Bowl – but what is the outlook going forward, with quarterback changes likely coming and loaded receiving corps in both offenses?

The dissection of the wide receiver position continues, as Travis and John explore the rest of the top 16 fantasy performers in 2017, from Adam Thielen to Demaryius Thomas. Thielen seems to have emerged as a top fantasy asset, but can he sustain the production as the Vikings prepare to change quarterbacks? And Thomas also awaits a quarterback change, but his own uncertainties may overshadow his quarterback anyways. Tyreek Hill already knows who his new quarterback will be, there’s just disagreement among the SuperFlex SuperFriends as to the affect Pat Mahomes (and other offensive changes) will have on Hill.
Plus, A.J. Green has a down (yet relatively healthy) year, and turns 30 before the 2018 season; is “The Cliff” on the horizon? And two teammates finish 11th and 12th, who is more likely to repeat in 2018? Davante Adams has a new contract that may make him the last man standing in Aaron Rodgers’ offense, so how high does Adams need to be ranked? Travis and John are talking about the Top 7 wide receivers in 2017 fantasy, with some familiar, trustworthy faces… and a couple stowaways. Antonio Brown has been rock solid for years, but at 30-years old and with a 36-year old quarterback, how much longer can we count on AB? And how does he stack up against DeAndre Hopkins after another breakout season by the 25-year old phenom? The tale of the tape is all about consistency versus upside as the gang puts two of the top dynasty assets under the microscope together. Plus, Larry Fitzgerald fights Father Time, Keenan Allen fights an undeserved reputation, Jarvis Landry tries to fight off a stigma that won’t go away, Julio Jones fights to stay relevant, and Michael Thomas fights for an elusive spotlight, where he officially belongs.
But the WR battles can’t begin until Travis gets some thoughts off his chest, after missing an entire week and the end of the running back discussion. “The Beard” takes issue with thoughts on Derrick Henry, Jordan Howard and Ezekiel Elliott; can he bring John into the light and show him the flaws in his thinking? Minus one conspicuous Beard, James and John are back to continue the position dissection, and the topic of discussion are the low-ed RB1s from the 2017 season. LeSean McCoy turned in yet another great season, and did it in a whole new way; can fantasy players reasonably expect a continuation in 2018? Ezekiel Elliott finally put the suspension drama behind him and prepares for a full season in 2018, but the guys still have reservations about one of the league’s elite RBs. Two pass-catching backs try to carve out roles in their respective offenses with new coordinators calling the plays… and picking new early-down backs. Plus, Leonard Fournette’s ankles, Devonta Freeman’s head, Jordan Howard’s hands and Carlos Hyde’s coaches are cause for concern, but what would it take for them to maintain their dynasty values… and who benefits it they don’t?
