In the milestone 20th episode, Travis and John continue the 2017 fantasy season’s exit interview. Was it a giveaway that Josh McCown would be a startable superflex quarterback? Or that he would raise Robby Anderson’s value along with his own? The guys are discussing expectations of rookie quarterbacks as giveaways as well, not to mention Adam Thielen after his white hot finish to his rookie season. Their takeaways include bad teams turning it around (with a revolting suggestion on a potential sleeper offense in 2018), and late season pass catching breakouts, with a couple way-too-early sleepers. And which path should an owner take in dynasty startups: RBs to rule, or WRs to win?

The dynasty universe comes to a fork in the road with the beginning of the fantasy playoffs: some dynasty players are on to the playoffs, while others start building for 2018. Travis and John are quizzing themselves on dynasty startup values, starting at the top. Who is the WR1 in dynasty? Do we have a new QB1? How long can LeSean McCoy and Jordan Reed hold off Father Time? What to do with the Seattle running backs? And speaking of Seattle, is their tight end an elite dynasty asset?

In trade reflections, David Johnson is on trial, representing the entire running back position against quarterbacks and tight ends in a tight end premium superflex; Dez Bryant’s inconsistency might lead his owners to sell for inconsistent youth; and is Devin Funchess for real? Funchess is the focal point in a rebuild move, but which side should a rebuilding team take?

As the regular season winds down – for both fantasy and the NFL – Travis and John are wondering aloud, why are NFL teams so hesitant to scrap their dead end season? A veteran quarterback struggles, while his young backup waits for an opportunity that may not come while the team’s playoff hopes are alive. The guys are handing out lectures like candy, also admonishing dynasty players who bail on their young receivers too early, and traders who overvalue draft picks and undervalue solid veterans.
