  • Superhero #39 - A Doctor Living With Bipolar - Its Helping Me Change The World | Dr Nick Prior

    Welcome back superhero fans!

Have you ever been to a doctor and wondered whether the advice they gave was 'lived experience' or just straight out of a text book?

Well for todays guest, his lived experience was exactly the reason he got into medicine.

Living diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Nick is on a mission to change the world, not only with his practise but also in his work developing the app 'Minderful'

Aim of the game? Make looking after yourself rewarding, so even when you don't feel like it, you can still do it and help yourself.

We talk NHS, red tape, useful apps for mindfulness, self development, discuss Nicks story so far and perhaps the most resonating point.

To work on the app, it means taking time out of helping people.. is it a step backwards or forwards?

    Find out here..

    Enjoy!

  • Superhero #32 - Be Strong, Be Kind - Why and How You Achieve Is More Important Than What | Mitchell Hooper

Well well, I have been so excited to release this episode!

I have been a strongman fan for years and Mitchell competed in this years Worlds Strongest Man competition for the first time, winning his group and coming 8th in the Final.

But what is behind the strongman? What experiences drive the man we have off the competition floor?

Anyone that has followed Mitchell (if you don't I suggest you do!) will have seen that amongst the seriousness there were many tiktoks and a whole host of other entertaining and fun posts perfectly summing up a man who is on a mission, to be kind and be strong. To inspire others to join in the sports and highlight just how important community is in sports, and strongman is testament to that.

We talk about his other experiences in sports, his passion for always trying something new and what he see's as his purpose in the sport and in life.

We talk mental and physical health and why its so important to know that 'Its OK' to feel unhappy, as fulfilment is always going to be more valuable that happiness alone.

Mitchell doesn't mince his words, so sit back and get ready for this whopper of an episode!

    Stay Super!

  • Superhero #30 - Leaving Safety Behind and Following Your Passions | Ollie Coates

Today I am over the moon to spend some time with my brother Oliver.

I must admit, I threw some questions at him, that may have taken him by surprise but it only led to a deeper insight into how he has created the person he is today.

From football as a kid to studying now at one of the most prestigious performing arts colleges in the world I wanted to get his journey out there.

Not only is he super grounded, but has also made some decisions that went against social expectation, to follow what felt right to him, his passions and I am proud of him for that.

So tune in, as this is the first footprint digitally of someone I think is going to be winning awards at the highest level for his work.

Resilience in spades, but it has had its challenges. We talk colossal self doubt mixed with unbounded confidence and how to deal with that and keep going.

    Man that was fun!

    Enjoy and stay super!
