Tracey Taylor is one of the most remarkable women I know. As a single Mom she raised four extraordinary daughters, helps children as a Speech Pathologist, has helped others with their fitness goals as a personal trainer for 30 years and since 2017 she's the woman behind The Blend. The Blend is a food truck that fills the space we need in health and wellness, offering protein bars and shakes (all named by her daughters) and can be found all over Buffalo at tournaments, races, expos and more. In this swim squad episode we discuss test sets!

Welcome back Luc Eggers! Last weekend Luc successfully completed the Philadelphia Freedom Challenge, which is a 2 day / 3 event challenge. On Saturday he ran a half marathon (13.1 miles), two hours later ran an 8K (4.97 miles) and then on Sunday he ran a marathon (26.2 miles). Covering 44 miles in 2 days is a challenge in and of itself, but a wrinkle in the plan jeopardize the whole thing. That wrinkle, is anxiety.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, 19.1% of Americans struggle with some degree of anxiety. That's just those who report it, I bet the number is a lot higher. In this episode we not only talk about the Freedom Challenge, but how we got through an unexpected episode of anxiety, and crushed it all!

Today's guest is 26 year old Sarah Sheen. Originally a music major in college, she's turned her attention to triathlon and the marathon, recently completing the New York City Marathoner. Entering her 4th year in the sport Sarah also just got married, bought a house and found out she was accepted into the Boston Marathon!

As treasurer of the Rochester Area Triathletes she's cost conscious and hopeful about removing the barriers that our youth face in the sport. Enjoy!

For over 22 years he directed multisport events throughout Western and Central New York, and was also the Operations Director for the Buffalo Marathon for many years.
