This was one of the hardest stories I have told.   After, 12 year old Leslie and 16 year old Brookes Douglass were shot and left for dead in their own home, and having lost their beloved parents in the same incident. Their story was only just beginning. These two incredible individuals went on to really make a change in the world.  Their lives following the shooting plays out like a movie, And how the bad guys are eventually caught is utterly unbelievable.   This is the story of the survival of Brooks and Leslie Douglass.
