Today on The Sword and The Trowel, Tom Ascol and Graham Gunden discuss life in the Southern Baptist Convention. Founders was born out of concern for the SBC and we're still very much invested in what's going on there. With all the decline we see, why should churches stay in the SBC? Is there still reason to continue to fight for the health of our institutions and agencies? Or is it too far gone?

They invite Hannah Ascol, Director of Media Communications for Founders, into the conversation to discuss how she has gone about preparing for marriage and planning for her upcoming wedding this week. Are Pinterest boards helpful to the wedding planning couple? How much should Christians spend on their wedding? Will marriage fix the sin and struggles you have in singleness?

Today on The Sword and The Trowel, Tom Ascol and Graham Gunden discuss a recent article from The Gospel Coalition Canada regarding concerns about how the American Evangelical's media coverage of Canadian pastors “has hampered the Canadian church.” They look at a great response article, and dive into the topics of pastoral courage and what hills we must be willing to die on in our Christian faith.
