We’re all busy & even worse … we often feel hurried.
It’s tempting to think important people are busy & then live in a hurried pace hoping to make others think we’re buys and therefore important.
But busy is a state of my schedule; Hurried is a state of my soul.
To manage the madness of our schedules & the nurture of our souls, we’ll need need the navigation of wisdom (week 1) as well as a way of navigating the inevitability of conflict collisions.
Have you ever noticed that when you’re extremely busy and hurried, you seem to experience more conflict? If you’re religious, you’ll be tempted to blame spiritual warfare. If not, maybe a cliché like: When it rains it pours.
But if your soul is hurried, especially from desire to be seen as busy … I think part of what happens is that we actually attract or even cause more conflict. But we’ll be too busy or hurried to see and admit it!
Beyond the immature and ineffectiveness of blaming others or searching for some demonic conspiracy … Scripture gives a better and more helpful way of viewing and dealing with conflict.
