Last week Thursday Nelson Chamisa who is leader of the Citizens for Coalition Change decided to quit the opposition party with immediate effect. He said that Zimbabwe is facing a hostile political environment and that majority of people are leaving the country. However, he says that his focus will remain in Zimbabwe and honouring its citizens. Chamisa took part in last year's elections where incumbent President Emmerson Mnangagwa won the controversial polls. What then does all of this mean for opposition politics in that country?
