One sad province in our country is no doubt the Eastern Cape. You may remember just a few weeks ago that a mother poisoned her three children then took hr own life. This comes just a month after another mother in the same province also killed her three children and committed suicide. Police and some of the NGOs suspect this has to do with poverty and hunger. What exactly is going on in the Eastern Cape and just how bad is the hunger situation? Also what sort of intervention programmes are there from government?
