Too often leaders become servants of their calendars. The master dings with a new notification and off they go from one room to the next. We must not enrage the schedule. You end up with no actual time to lead and think. This is a quick tactic I do with clients to free up more time, and make their calendars shift a bit more towards a maker schedule, even though it cannot completely be so.

Candor is crucial in leadership, no matter how uncomfortable it makes you. Striving for efficacy, not just being liked, will mean that you have to tell people the hard truth sometimes. Where are you likely missing it?
