This week, we're talking about last week's Elementary, in which Sherlock is suspected of a murder we really hope he didn't commit. J. stops everything to rain on everybody's Better Call Saul parade before moving on this week's Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episodes, "Field of Fire" (You're out of control, Murphy!), "Chimera" (Odo's o-face), and "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang" (Let's Play: Vegas 1962).

No Elementary to talk about this episode (we're always a week behind, remember?), but we unfortunately have the passing of Leonard Nimoy to help us fill the time. We have a mournful yet tangent-filled discussion of the late actor, and then move on to Veronica Mars, which decides its second season wasn't quite complicated enough. Get ready for stalkers, thieving hookers, and killing people by dropping baseball stadiums on them.

Elementary closes out a run of strong episodes with a Law & Order: Criminal Intent pastiche that limps to the finish. Also, Deep Space Nine goes on a weird bender, with an episode all about Vic Fontaine, an episode about Ezri that's great until it's about Ezri anymore, and the (thankfully) final mirror universe episode, which is hot garbage.

Veronica Mars's second season gets even more complex with "Ain't No Magic Mountain High Enough," "Versatile Toppings," and "The Quick and the Wed." Also, Elementary phones one in and gives away the dramatic emotional climax in the trailer. Good job, CBS!
