By the time you listen to us grumble about this episode of Elementary, "The Illustrious Client," you'll have already seen how it turns out, so feel free to laugh at our past selves if it suits you. This week, we're wrapping up the first season of Veronica Mars, with "M.A.D.," "A Trip to the Dentist," and "Leave It to Beaver," and we find the solution to the Lilly Kane murder mystery quite satisfactory indeed. We think back to the season as a whole and look forward to season two (which we will be covering). Also, we talk about last week's episode of Elementary, "The Five Orange Pipz," and follow Mad Men through a "Long Weekend."

Next week, we're watching Deep Space Nine, and get your HAZMAT suits, 'cause it's "Valiant," "Profit and Lace," and "Time's Orphan." Oy.

First, we celebrate the glorious return of Elementary, with its third season premiere, "Enough Nemesis to Go Around." Between the magic bullet magnets and sidewalk baton dueling, we reaffirm just how much we love this show.

Then, we move on to a glorious banquet of Deep Space Nine episodes. To wit:

• "In the Pale Moonlight" - Perhaps the most legendary episode of the entire series -- and J.'s favorite -- sparks an impassioned discussion of its true merits. Is the confessional structure a showy distraction, or is it key to the episode's impact?

And finally, we discuss the Mad Men episode "Shoot" with what little voice we have left. Stop the presses, Pete Campbell is a dick.
