Today on the podcast I have productivity guru - Alyssa Coleman!  She helps creative entrepreneurs, bloggers, influencers, and coaches ditch overwhelm, get more done, make more money, and make a bigger IMPACT!  So many entrepreneurs have the vision, the ideas and goals - but when it comes to the execution, it can get messy!  I was so excited to have a chat with Alyssa about what it means to be productive as an entrepreneur and how can we use that to gain the lifestyle that we dream of.

Today on the podcast I have writer, author and the founder of A Girl In Progress, Emma Norris.  I have been following Emma and her impressive career for years, completely admiring all she does, so it was a complete honour to sit down and have a chat with her not only about her journey, but how she balances work, life and her personal development too - it’s a jam packed episode!!

 

As a young woman, personal development can feel overwhelming.  Constantly feeling like you have to be the best version of yourself can be hard to navigate.  I thought it was important to bring someone like Emma on the podcast today to discuss the ever evolving process of self development.  The overarching point of today’s episode is that this is an ever evolving process.  We typically go through different seasons in life and that will call for different types of personal growth - by focusing more on finding happiness within, rather than waiting for ‘some day’ you will lead to acceptance on a more day to day level.  In this episode we go deep into this topic and how it lead to Emma’s evolution of A Girl In Progress.

 

To add to her amazing brand, we also discussed Emma’s career journey, her impressive writing life, how it opened doors and the importance of real life experience vs. University.  We speak about how others can get in the industry, how to use your skills to expand into business and how Emma went from writing, to leading a community.  We also spoke about her journey writing her very own book and how she balances all of this work whilst still focusing on herself.

 

We also spoke about Emma’s favourite topic - perfectionism!  Not only the different ways it can show up in your life, but also how to change your mindset when it shows up.  Perfectionism has the ability to stop you in your tracks, halt your growth and stop you from pursuing your dreams so I chatted with Emma about how to work through perfectionism and focus more on the progress, rather than being perfect.

 

This episode is for anyone who has big dreams, want to make a massive impact in the world but feels like they have to have it all figured out first.  Life is an evolution, one foot in front of the other and if you have the right attitude, happy to learn and take every day as it comes, you can find massive success just like Emma :)
