Are you someone who puts work before your own health?  Do you feel like in order to become successful you have to put yourself second to your work?  Do you dream of doing something you love but you are stuck in a job you hate?  Do you want to be the very best version of yourself in all aspects of life, not just in your career?  When you really think about it, are you taking care of your overall health?  Is it a priority?

As a society, we really wear busy like a badge of honour. We work hard, play harder but forget to take care of the vessel that drives all of this, our own bodies.  Not just physically here, but mentally too.  What happens when we feel this disconnect is we not only lose touch with ourselves, but the moments in our life that are special.  We get so caught up in the moment, that we forget to enjoy life and the little pockets of time where the real magic is made.  If we keep pushing and keep hustling, we will eventually burn out and when we look back on it, we will have so many moments that have passed us by because we were too busy working hard.  We want to open this conversation up before you get to the burn out stage or your health gets out of hand.

To help shed a little more light on this topic, I have the amazing Madelyn Carafa on the podcast today who is a podcast host herself and has interviewed some of Australia’s most successful people and she discusses the difference between these people and us.  The difference will surprise you… I will give you a hint: they take their health very seriously, and even more seriously the more successful they become.  As you grow in life, your health should grow too.  In order for you to move up the ladder in life, you need your health to stay a priority.  Because, without you, nothing happens.

Do you have any idea of the power of your period?  Have you done any more research in to the effects the pill has on your body?  Do you want to own your femininity and really lead from a place of love instead of hustling like a man all the time?  Do you know that you can use your period cycle to your advantage and make it work for you so you can perform optimally?  Do you just want to own exactly what it means to be female?

So much of the time we are told to hustle and work hard like a man if we want to be taken seriously, especially in the business world.  Stay up late, wake up early, grind ourselves down to nothing, all so we can prove we can do the job just as well.  But what if there was a more natural solution to this problem?  Instead of pushing against a brick wall, we came back to our roots, our identity and pure feminitiy and used that to our advantage instead.  Being female is such a powerful tool and when we understand exactly how we tick, we can make it work to our advantage so that we are always getting our best work done and putting our best self forward.

To help us understand this topic, I have the incredible Monica Yates on the podcast today.  She is a life and period coach and believes that owning your femininity is your secret weapon in life. When we surrender to the way we were born and truly love ourselves and our bodies for what they were designed to do, we are honestly unstoppable.

Are you someone who is letting their health get in front of your dreams?  Do you always say “once I am better, I will start?”  Are you letting your health take over your life?  Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?

I think every woman has, or know someone who has, had dealt with some sort of health related issue.  When we get sick, it knocks us off our feet and we let every other obligation slip as it takes over our life.  Without our health, we really are nothing!  Which is why it is so important that we take it seriously, and make sure we always putting ourselves first.

Sometimes though, our health issues are completely out of our control, but it still does not define us.  It is important to use your struggles as your story and continue to spread your purpose and passion in life.

To give you a little inspiration, I have the gorgeous Peta Shulman on the podcast today who is the founder of GoodnessMe Box.  She was diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disease at 25 which ruled her life.  She couldn’t even leave her bed, let alone chase her dreams.
