This is a meaningful podcast with Josh Gill. Umpiring, his heart condition, his disability, and undoing a bra can be so frustrating for the man with short arms and no thumps. He journeyed to Port Broughton and was part of the Trevor Sims Roast, our podcast guest. Trevor is the Senior Colts Coach at Broughton-Mundoora today. He’s coached many teams over the journey, but he’s best remembered as the dual Premiership player for Sturt, the Double Blues, the famous number 4. He managed 12 years at Sturt and 250 games for the Double Blues. One of his closest mates was Rick Davies, the Jumbo Prince. In Trevor Sims’ many years at Sturt, he never lived in Adelaide. He drove and sometimes flew on a small plane to training on Tuesdays or Thursdays, or match days and back to the farm. The mop of curly hair, sideboards, and mustache are no longer part of Trevor's look. But he still loves footy.

He’s been honored with a Merit Award from the SANFL for his services to community football. In this podcast, we take a trip with Phil through his life and footy. A mad keen Adelaide Crows supporter Phil tries to never miss a game of the Crows at home. But his love has always been the Yorke Peninsula Football League as we know it today. In this podcast, we venture into the area of amalgamation, merger or co-location. Not the most desired subject by the country club, but it's getting close to being a fact of life. We look at the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) Management Guide available on its website. Joining forces is the way to go. Clubs getting along and living together is the future.
