The Tigers Down Under

Another mixed bag as City pick up three points from two games to keep our heads above water in the fight for the Play Offs. A stirring win against Wrexham as players begin to return from injury and a promising fixture against West Brom to come.________________________________________________Twitter: https://twitter.com/HullCityAFCAusFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/aussi...Instagram: hull.city.aus

A mixed bag as City pick up the three points away at Portsmouth, but fall to Ipswich Town in a closely fought game in the game in hand. Millwall and Wrexham as the next two games make it all to play for as play offs go on the line.________________________________________________Twitter: https://twitter.com/HullCityAFCAusFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/aussi...Instagram: hull.city.aus

Just as City's season seemed to be teetering on the brink of calamity, a massive three points against Derby lifted City back into play off conversations. Every game feels huge at the moment, but Ipswich next mid-week may be even huger!________________________________________________Twitter: https://twitter.com/HullCityAFCAusFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/aussi...Instagram: hull.city.aus

No disgrace in the exit against Chelsea, as attention now turns squarely back to league fixtures. Visits from QPR and Derby are vital for City to keep within touching distance of the top two and maintain any sort of gap from the chasing pack. A virtually full strength City must click into gear at the MKM.________________________________________________Twitter: https://twitter.com/HullCityAFCAusFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/aussi...Instagram: hull.city.aus

While on the pitch it was a bitter result against Bristol City with a performance more reminiscent of the first months of the season, off the pitch it's a chance to reflect on ten years as a podcast, with The Tigers Down Under founded in February 10 years ago, when City were also chasing promotion back to the PL. We also look ahead to the small matter of the FA Cup tie with Liam Rosenior's Chelsea.________________________________________________Twitter: https://twitter.com/HullCityAFCAusFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/aussi...Instagram: hull.city.aus

City edge up to third in the table with four points from the two games, although only one goal scored is cause for some concern. A big opportunity to bounce back against Bristol City on the weekend who themselves are devoid of confidence at the moment.________________________________________________Twitter: https://twitter.com/HullCityAFCAusFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/aussi...Instagram: hull.city.aus

City are now starting to feel like something of a well oiled machine as it became three wins in seven days with a 2-1 win over Swanea. What a difference a week makes as City bounce back from somewhat of a form 'slump' with two cracking wins away at Southampton and Preston to sit fourth in the table with some breathing room. New signings in the building and a tasty clash with Swansea this weekend where City can stake a claim for an automatic spot.________________________________________________Twitter: https://twitter.com/HullCityAFCAusFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/aussi...Instagram: hull.city.aus

Possibly the dourest of dour performances in the FA Cup but City got through on penalties as Dillon Phillips emerged the hero with two penalty saves in the shootout earned City a reunion with Liam Rosenior's Chelsea in the fourth round. Southampton and Preston will be stern tests in the league as City's form looks to be faltering at the worst time.________________________________________________Twitter: https://twitter.com/HullCityAFCAusFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/aussi...Instagram: hull.city.aus

A typical City loss to Stoke began the week before the disappointingly late decision to call off the fixture with Watford marred the weekend. City are beginning to be active in the transfer market, and have an FA Cup fixture with Blackburn to prepare for next weekend.________________________________________________Twitter: https://twitter.com/HullCityAFCAusFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/aussi...Instagram: hull.city.aus
