            • TN233: Beyond Portable: build a business that is sustainable through any transition
This episode marks a big transition in Tandem Nomads. It is time for me to leave New York City, where this adventure started over 5 years ago, and move to Austria to start a new chapter.
Although it is a very emotional time for me as I leave the place that I have called home for the longest time in my life (7 years), on the business side nothing will change. I am so grateful that I get to continue to do what makes me feel most complete and fulfilled and stay focused on my business goals. That is what Tandem Nomads is indeed all about, building a successful portable business that allows you to build the flexibility you need while creating your own source of revenue and impact.
However, although a portable business model provides location independence, it does not automatically provide a sustainable revenue through life transitions if it does not have the right foundations for long term growth.
In fact, your business model may be portable, and you may be able to run your business from anywhere, but what if you need to slow down for personal reasons during a geographical or life transition? Are you able to continue to show up consistently and grow your business, or do you have to pause your activities and your focus on the business?
"Although a portable business model provides location independence, it does not automatically provide a sustainable revenue through life transitions if it does not have the right foundations for long term growth."
In this episode, I share with you the important factors that will allow you to keep your business running even when you need to slow down.
I will also lift the curtains behind the scenes of my business, what I’ve done to prepare for this big transition, dramatically reduce my working hours while continuing to provide you with my podcast episodes to support you in your journey on a weekly basis and serve my clients with even more impact.

                • TN232: The simple thing solo entrepreneurs can do to support gender diversity and non-binary people – with Cath Brew
You might have noticed on social media that more and more people are declaring their gender/sex on their bio, profiles or even email signatures.
Have you wondered what is the reasoning behind that or whether you should do it or not?
I was in that space too when my friend Cath Brew helped me make the decision to pro-actively bring up this topic and declare my pronoun on all my profiles.
Indeed, I truly believe that as solo entrepreneurs, we can make a real impact for marginalized people and should proactively look at how we show up to create a more inclusive world.
"Having the choice as entrepreneurs to acknowledge gender expansive people or not is by itself a privilege."
In this episode, Cath will answer all the uncomfortable questions we do not dare to ask around the topic of non-binary and gender expansive people so that you can take action without worrying about doing or saying the wrong thing.
Cath Brew illustrates and educates about marginalized experiences for positive change - with a focus on identity, belonging and expat life. She hosts “Talk-Back Tuesday, a weekly Instagram and Facebook Live where she answers questions about LGBTQ+ issues.
                  What You Will Learn
