Lesson: Acceptance
Have you ever been lost in your thoughts, only to have a memory suddenly surface that you thought you had already moved past?
In this lesson, I step into the forge and explore acceptance—what it means to stop fighting the reality of what happened and finally allow yourself to see it for what it was.
Acceptance doesn't mean saying what happened was okay. It doesn't mean forgetting, excusing, or pretending the pain wasn't real. Sometimes acceptance means facing the truth you've spent years trying not to look at.
I share part of my own journey of confronting childhood abuse, the difficult memories I carried, and the moment I realized that I couldn't truly accept myself until I accepted what had happened to me.
Along the way, I return to one of the central ideas of The Time Smith: the stones of our past can become the foundation of our future.
The pain, the sleepless nights, the tears, the questions, the things we wish had happened differently—through truth, prayer, counseling, friendship, and resourcefulness, those things can become something we build upon rather than something that continues to bury us.
Come with me into the forge.
Let's look at what happened.
Let's accept what is real.
And let's see what we can build from it.
If you are lost, you can be found.
If you are feeling unloved, you are loved.
I am The Time Smith.
God bless you.
