The Supertunias in downtown Sapulpa are famous for their big, beautiful displays of bubblegum pink blooms through downtown Sapulpa from the spring well into the fall. Now you have a chance to get one of 34 plants at the end of the season when the flowers come down on October 10th as the city prepares to assemble the upcoming Route 66 Christmas Chute.

This year, merchants will be available to get tickets (no purchase necessary) for a drawing to happen NEXT WEEK! Here's where to get your tickets:

John Paget's new movie, "Route 66: The Main Street of America" is showing at the TeePee Drive-In on Tuesday night in Sapulpa. In this interview, we sat down at the historic Rock Creek Bridge just yards away from the iconic drive-in to talk about what's changed since he did his first Route 66 movie in 1994, and how The Mother Road has morphed from a way to get to the promised land to now being a destination all its own.

Last week, Sapulpa's Fraternal Order of Police union announced that they were entering into interest arbitration over an ongoing contract dispute with the City of Sapulpa. More than a third of the police department has departed for greener pastures at state agencies or those that can afford to pay a higher wage—or they've left law enforcement altogether. The FOP says the primary reason officers are leaving is due to Sapulpa's inability to stay competitive regarding pay. Let's look at the numbers and what this could mean for the city of Sapulpa as a whole.
