MSNBC reports that both Republicans and Democrats serving on the Senate Intelligence Committee agree that there is no direct evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia. This couldn’t be scripted any better than this. This is huge - and maybe the media should cover it as incessantly as they did the Russian Collusion narrative. Congress’ negotiated border deal. What will Trump do? Two ways of looking at this. I think Trump supporters should be prepared to accept this as the best starting point. Ted Cruz suggests using $14 billion in assets seized from El Chapo to fund wall. This would be poetic justice.

For radical Democrats, this isn’t about securing the border; it’s about an open border. Cutting resources for those who are supposed to be enforcing immigration laws. (Of course, they really want to abolish ICE.) Limited barriers. Limited enforcement. Democrat Presidential candidates race to the Left. Bernie Sanders has been lost in a sea of Bernie Sanders. Government is set to shut down again on Friday. Both sides cannot find agreement - again. Democrat leaders see a shutdown as a political winner. What will Trump do? Time to declare national emergency? Green New Deal debacle. Claiming RNC hacked document, posted fake. While some added sections to the document, AOC’s team still distanced themselves from actual parts of the document. Deceit is alive & well. Fake news. Phony social media accounts (some that aren’t even Russian!). Fact checkers cannot be trusted. Why would anyone violate the trust of their audience/base?

So why did his message resonate with Americans this time? The real takeaway. Democrats race to crazy. Elizabeth Warren’s embarrassing campaign launch. Top 3 Democrats in Virginia immersed in scandal. Democrat candidates embrace Socialism, open borders. New Green Deal. Radical, transformational. The Left no longer pretends they reject Socialism; now they fully embrace it. New Bill of Rights? Fundamental misunderstanding of rights.

It seems to me that the most surprising part of this story is that we have journalists who actually confirm the information they’ve been provided from sources.
