Coal miner Zigmund "Ziggy" Adamski walked from his home one June afternoon in 1980 planning to visit some local shops. That was the last time anyone ever saw him alive. He disappeared but turned up mysteriously five days later, 20 miles away, dead from an apparent heart attack, lying on top of a high coal pile. His body had strange burn marks that were treated with an odd ointment that specialists were unable to identify. Alan Godfrey, a police officer from Todmorden who investigated the case, didn't rule out the possibility that Adamski was abducted by aliens and had died of fright.  Five months later, Godfrey, while out on a police call, found himself face-to-face with an extraterrestrial craft hovering above a road. He experienced missing time and was apparently abducted by aliens.
