When I was at Google, from 2012 to 2022, in one of our secret group chats, we liked to talk about how one of Sundar Pichai's superpower was to 'decode' Larry Page's mind and pave the way during meetings. He could read his boss's mind, decode what his vision was, understand with precision what Larry wanted the team to do, to then explain clearly to the rest of the team for others to execute his vision.

That skill was also shared by a few of Alphabet's standing senior leaders who had a deep comprehension of what the most senior leader's vision was and could help bring it to life.

Now back to you aspiring leader in your organization - Are you someone who can decode your senior leader's vision? Can you ask clarifying questions to ensure you gain full comprehension into the bigger picture? Can you then act as a messenger to help carry this vision through?

Another way to phrase this : YOU can become a problem solver and contribute to solving your organization's biggest problems. You can be a problem solver, not just a problem seeker.
