The Torn Page

In today's SMSS we had a special guest, our wonderful friend Destin, as we discussed The girl who licked the ice cream, the stupid stupid Area 51 event that has just taken the internet by storm with memes, and Bella Delphine just being a wonderful troll. As well as just everything as we rounded out the conversation.               Thank you so much for listening!             Support us if you want on Patreon @ Patreon.com/TheTornPage               Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @TheTornPagePod

Shunyamurti leads us on a guided meditation, focusing on Ramana Maharshi's practice of Atma Vichara, or Self-Enquiry, the question "Who Am I?"

Today We finish the rest of The Black Dhalia murder. Covering the investigation, the suspects, and our theory of who did it based on our evidence.                And boy did this one turn out longer than we expected lol.             Thank you all for listening!          Support us if you want on Patreon @ Patreon.com/TheTornPage               Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @TheTornPagePod

Shunyamurti uses the metaphor of a revolutionary to explain the ideas of Deleuze, Nishida, and Ramana in order to explain how to incite a real revolution that will take one to liberation.

In today's episode we are diving into the murder of Elizabeth Short aka The Black Dhalia. We had fun with this first true deep dive, and it ended up coming out with two episodes. This first episode is her earlier life, her death, and then the start of the investigation into her death.            Thank you very much for listening!               Support us if you want on Patreon @ Patreon.com/TheTornPage               Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @TheTornPagePod

Shunyamurti explains the significance of Ramana Maharshi and how his very life's trajectory has given us insight into the turn that the modern West has taken in the overthrow of materialism, as well as how this relates to Nietzsche's "Will to Power", the implications this has for our relationship to non-human entities, and what this means for the future.

Shunyamurti reads questions left over from the last Livestream Satsang and gives answers.

In today's episode we discussed the FBI's release of their bigfoot papers, kids remembering their past lifes, and the bigotry happening in the South Carolina foster care system. As you would guess, we got a little upset again, about that last subject manner.         Thank you so much for listening!               Support us if you want on Patreon @ Patreon.com/TheTornPage               Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @TheTornPagePod

Shunyamurti speaks about international yoga day, that yoga is inter-dharmic, that it comes from a former world age and predates all of the current religions, but that religion originally had the same purpose as yoga (to "re-unite"), giving the example of the trees of knowledge (duality) and life (nonduality) in the Garden of Eden, also speaking about how these reflect the buddhi and the manas, the story of the Bhagavad Gita and how we, like Arjuna, face the problem of divided loyalties in our journey to liberation, and how by surrendering to the Source and passing through ego death, the entire world dream can be transformed.

Shunyamurti says that there is a mistake in understanding the profundity of the teachings of Ramana, that they go far deeper than most people understand, and goes on to discuss predecessors to Ramana in the West (notably, Spinoza) and how Ramana's teachings elucidate, clarify, and summarize many of the insights of the West that came before him.
