Today’s podcast is taken from an April 2001 General Conference by Elder Boyd K. Packer, who was serving as the acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve. Elder Packer was a master teacher who taught even the most complex topics with clarity. His many years of church service were characterised by his humility, his love of the scriptures and his apostolic witness. In this conference address Elder Packer speaks of the issue of guilt within the gospel. We all make mistakes. It is then in our nature to feel guilt and humiliation and suffering, which we alone cannot cure. Elder Packer powerfully testifies that is when the healing power of the Atonement will help.
