Christ is the vine, God is the gardener, and we are the branches who just happen to pbear fruit that is grown on us by the vine.

How often it is that we hear the word to bear fruit and think it is this command to go out and do things. No! It is this word that reminds us of who we are. Join us as we go through John 15 looking at Christ's statement to us that we are branches that only exist because of the vine, and often get pruned by the Gardener.

As the Spirit comes and does his work, he becomes the spokesperson for God to remind us of God's work for us in Jesus.

Join us as we conclude John 14. Christ tells us that he is leavig to complete his work and sit at the right hand of the Father. He tells us of the gifting of the Spirit. What the work of the Spirit looks like and how we must depend on him to help us love Christ and guard his teachings.

The way of Christ is his and not ours.

Join us as we continue our study of John, finishing up John 13 and entering into John 14. We will look at this question of what it means to obey Christ and love one another. What does it mean for Jesus to say that where I am going you cannot come, right now anyways? What does it mean for Jesus to tell us that he is the way, the truth, and the life?

As Jesus bares himself in stooping down to wash the feet of his disciples, he lays bare the truth of his work on our behalf for his people.

As with all things, Christ was setup for reaching to the cross as the ultimate sign of who he is and why he came.

We are finishing up John 12 as we look at some tough verses around blind eyes and closed hearts, loving the praise of men, and condemnation. Where does the cross fit? When Christ says that if we want to see the Father we then look at him, what does God look like to us?
