In September of 1988, a man discovered the body of a woman who was thought to be between the ages of 22-35. An autopsy was performed, confirming that she was in fact a woman, but were unable to provide the cause of death as she was too decomposed. She was unrecognizable, but a sketch was produced and shown around. With a lack of leads, quickly the case went cold. 

It wasn’t reopened until 2015 when issues with the techniques used to gather DNA at the time came to light. A reexamination of her case, and body revealed that their Jane Doe had in fact been born a male. Gender reassignment and hormone therapy were very rare at the time, which made this case even more peculiar. 

Not long after, the case was picked up by the DNA Doe Project, hoping to identify her through genetic testing.

In 1984, Joseph and Shirley Wall called the Albuquerque police department to report their son, Bennett Wall, missing. They hadn’t seen their 23 year old son in 3 years, and to this day he has yet to be found. Very little information can be found on Bennett Walls case.

In 1988, a transgender doe was found near Orlando Florida. She was dubbed Julie Doe by those working on her case.

Could these two cases be linked, or are they just two separate tragic stories?

On August 11th, 1992, another summer day was in full swing for the Pickett girls and their mother, Kay. That warm day they took a trip to the grocery store to pick up a few things. While there, Tracy, the youngest of the Pickett sisters, ran into one of her friends who she hadn’t seen what felt like forever for the 14-year-old.
The two giddy girls chatted amongst themselves for a while, eventually approaching Kay to ask if Tracy could spend the night at the other girl’s house. Tracy’s mother didn’t see how she could say no as the girls hadn’t seen each other in a while, and she figured that they couldn’t get into that much trouble since the other girl’s parents would be supervising them.
The events of the night of August 11th and the following morning of the 12th are not reported on clearly, leaving a lot to speculation, but at some point the next morning around 10 am, Tracy left in a black van with someone who had been at the friend’s house that night. She was supposed to return to her home to retrieve a change of clothes and head back to the friend’s house. However, this isn’t what happened; after Tracy left that morning, she hasn’t been seen since, and to this day, 28 years later, what happened to Tracy has yet to be revealed.

On February 4th, 1980, 17-year-old Barbara Davis’s badly beaten body was found in the alley on South 19th Street in Milwaukee, WI. Barbara lived with friends and was last seen leaving a Nightclub on February 3rd around 10 pm. While her case went cold rather quickly, there was one promising lead. Officers had gathered reports that a vehicle with the description of “a late model red or maroon pontiac” was seen parked with its trunk open next to the area where her body was found, around the time it was believed her body was dumped there.

In late May of 2003, the body of a young man estimated to be between 15 and 18 was found in Noncannah creek bed in Memphis, Tennessee. The victim had only been dead a few days before being found, but still, almost 18 years later, his identity remains a mystery.

Alexander Roberts was last seen on July 29th, 1960, in Phoenix, AZ. The 12-year-old had been staying with his uncle when he disappeared and still hasn’t been heard from in 60 years. He was thought to be a runaway, which may have led to the almost non-existent investigation into his disappearance.

Hello everyone! I am here today to talk to you guys about some changes that will happen to The Anti-Murder Murder Club in the coming months.

As most of you know, I tend to struggle to get episodes up on the correct days, and around the times I would like. Ideally, I want to have an episode up by 1pm every Friday, but that hasn’t been working out for me the best since I’ve started. 

I feel like some of the content I put out can be rushed and meet my standards. I think rushing through the case just to get it out on time is not fair to you guys as listeners, and it is absolutely not fair to the victims that I discuss on this podcast. I’m doing this show because I want to help spread awareness of the little known cases, which means taking my time and releasing them on time. 

For the next two months, I plan on making several considerable changes to this podcast that I am very excited about. Starting this coming week, I will still be releasing a case every Friday, but these will be mini-cases, and this schedule will stay in place until the end of this year. 

Cutting back on researching cases will give me the time I need to do several other changes I have planned. I will provide an update every Friday when I upload, and I really can’t wait to make this show even better. I love this podcast so much, but unfortunately, I don’t always have the time to do everything with work and school. Hopefully, this should immensely help me, and I would love for you to all stick around for the ride.

In the early morning hours of September 14th, 1970, 19-year-old Alexis Duggan disappeared from her home in Tampa, Florida, never to be seen again. A story spun by her then-husband Alvin Duggan made it seem as if she had run away, leaving all of her belongings and ten-month-old daughter behind. However, it is quite evident that there is much more to this story.

SHOW NOTES:
On Thursday, November 4th, 1982, in Long Island, New York, Edward Nowak made a grisly discovery. In a dumpster behind his workplace, he found the severely decomposed body of a young woman. Originally thought to be the body of a young black woman between the ages of 14 and 18, later sources changed this and listed her race as unknown and her age as more broad between 16 and 30. 

She was found wearing a striped zip-up sweater, a bra, and three necklaces. All other articles of clothing were too badly decomposed to be identified. She was estimated to have died 2-4 months before her body was found in the dumpster. She had only been recently moved to this location before being discovered.
