On Saturday, October 5th, 1996, in Sioux City, Iowa, Marie Harker had plans to meet up with her 34-year-old son Kenneth. She and him often spoke as her son had suffered from a traumatic brain injury in the years prior. A severe car accident had left the man disabled, unable to keep a full-time job, and having to relearn how to walk and talk again. While Kenny, which he was often called, had been working for several years to regain his independence, he had only recently moved out and lived on his own. He had worked hard for his freedom, so Marie tried not to worry when he was a no show to their meeting. She convinced herself that he must've forgotten and was probably with friends. 

Little did Marie know, Kenny's white 1977 Chevrolet Suburban had just been found by one of the Plymouth County Officers and marked as abandoned. The vehicle was located on K-42, with its doors open, the tires were flat, and it was out of gas. 

In the days following, Marie tried several times to contact her son, doing so on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. While she knew deep down, something wasn't right; she didn't want to intrude on her son, who had worked so diligently to take care of himself again. She decided to try again tomorrow, but unbeknownst to her at that moment, Kenneth's truck was being towed away to the spot where it was found abandoned.

This is the case of Kenneth Harker.

It was a fall night in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when 17-year-old Beverly Sharpman approached her mother Nettie in the kitchen of their family home. Nettie was beginning to make some tea when her daughter informed her that there was something on her mind, but by the time Nettie had finished making her tea, it seemed that Babe, which her mother often called her, had changed her mind about confiding in her mom. Beverly retired to bed, and Nettie didn’t press her daughter on the issue.
The following morning September 11th, 1947, everything began as usual for the small family. Beverly was scheduled to register for her senior year at Overbrook High School, which she did, returning around 11:30 am. She spoke to her mother, briefly mentioning that she planned to get some rest before her scheduled shift as a part-time clerk at a manufacturing plant. After that, Beverly went to her room, and her mother left their home at 4207 Viola street for the day.
Nothing seemed amiss until 7:30 that night when a telegram arrived at the house from the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Station. The telegram allegedly from Beverly said, “Got married. Leaving town. Will not be back. Don’t worry. Babe.”
September 11th, 1947 would be the last confirmed day that anyone would ever hear or see Beverly again.

On August 9th, 1970, in Ogunquit, Maine, a bright and sunny Sunday had begun. The Olenchuk family was going about their day to day life in the bustling summer town. Thirteen-year-old Mary had attended church earlier that day, and with temperatures in the '80s, the family decided to spend the rest of the day at Little Beach, which was just a short distance away from their summer home. At around 4 pm, Mary decided to leave her mother, Ruth, and her two older sisters Nancy and Jane at the beach. Barefooted, She hopped on her black Hercules English racing bike and rode the short distance to her home. She was seen again at 5:00, this time by an older woman on the Lookout Hotel's third floor. She first spotted the red-headed girl talking to a man in a faded maroon car, possibly a 1967 Chevrolet with scratches on the hood. The man was white of average height and build and looked to be in his 30s. 
 The woman looked away for a short while, and when she returned her gaze, Mary was now in the vehicle with the man. She appeared to be smiling and laughing. The stranger then backed his car from the road into the hotel's entryway and drove off in the other direction. This is the last time anyone would ever see 13-year-old Mary alive.

Welcome to the first-ever minisode by the Anti-Murder Murder Club! I plan to release these on Mondays and Friday every once and a while instead of a full episode. These mini-episodes consist of the same reporting but on cases with little to no media coverage. 
The first minisode is on the missing person case of Lloyd Farrar. In 1978, 60-year-old Lloyd was last seen leaving a restaurant on May 24th. He hasn’t been seen since.
Smaller cases deserve the same amount of attention as the larger one, and I hope to do that with the mini-episodes!

On July 27th, 1988, temperatures were reaching 102 degrees in Phoenix, Arizona. 13-year-old Myron Traylor had just returned from his paper route. Myron had begun working the paper route to help save money to give to his church for their upcoming Disney trip. Leaving their 16th street house and Nancy Lane, Myron and his mother Debbie, began the half-mile walk north to his grandparents’ house. He carried a plastic bag full of dirty clothes as he walked, which he planned on washing once he got there. Myron was also excited to talk with his younger brother on the phone, staying with a relative in California. As they walked, Myron told his mother that he was thirsty and wanted to go to the nearby OK Fish N Chips to buy a soda. Debbie agreed and told him to catch up once he was done. Debbie continued through an empty field as Myron headed toward the restaurant. Located on 16th Street and Southern Avenue, OK Fish N Chips was very quiet for a Wednesday evening. Myron didn’t see any other customers as he approached. He ordered a wild-cherry cola from worker Lena Watt and immediately began gulping down. Lena said, “You must be thirsty,” to which Myron replied by ordering another. With his second drink in hand, Myron started walking back in the direction he came. Lena waved goodbye to him, to which he wiggled his fingers back in response. As he walked out of view, Lena went back to her work, not knowing that this was the last time anyone would see Myron again.

This is the case of Myron Traylor.

In quiet Wasilla, Alaska, 15-year-old Michael Palmer and his friends snuck out of a friend's house and rode their bikes to a graduation party. In the early hours of June 4th, the four boys began their trek back home. Everything had gone to plan for the boys that night until one of the three looked behind them and realized that Micheal was no longer with them.
In April of 2010, a decade after his younger brother vanished, Chucky Palmer was on a snowmobiling trip with some friends and family. About an hour north from the family home, in a remote area of woods, Chucky disappeared too. The group of four had been headed back to the cabin when, in a familiar twist of events, they looked behind to notice that Chucky was no longer with them.

On Halloween of 1979, a woman’s body was discovered on the side of Interstate 35 in Georgetown, Texas. For 40 years she would remain unidentified, known only for the single piece of clothing she was wearing when she was discovered; a pair of orange socks. After nearly four decades genetic testing was able to finally identify Orange Socks as 23 year old Debra Jackson.

In 1998 Amber Wilde, a pregnant 19 year old college student, went missing and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. Amber’s abandoned vehicle is found a few days later with the drivers seat moved all the way back, and an unexplained 900 miles on the odometer. Her family and police still seek justice for her after 22 years without answers, but are stalled by a lack of corroportation from their prime suspect, the baby’s father.

In 1947 the body of a young woman was discovered in a vacant lot in Los Angeles, CA. The murder of Elizabeth Short, who would also become widely known as 'The Black Dahlia', would become a high publicized media circus leading to more questions than answers. 

This infamous unsolved murder is the FIRST episode by The Anti-Murder Murder Club.
