  • Dawn Richards Hits Diddy With A Newly Amended Complaint (Part 2) (5/15/25)
Dawn Richard filed an amended complaint against Sean "Diddy" Combs on March 10, 2025, as part of Case 1:24-cv-06848-KPF in federal court. The amended filing expands on her original September 2024 lawsuit, adding new allegations of financial misconduct, claiming that Combs misappropriated funds owed to her from Danity Kane and other music ventures. It also provides more specific details regarding her claims of sexual misconduct and abuse, including additional dates, locations, and alleged witnesses. Richard further alleges that Combs engaged in intimidation tactics, using threats and coercion to silence her.

In response, Combs' legal team denied all allegations, calling them baseless and an attempt to damage his reputation. They have filed a motion to dismiss the amended complaint, arguing that the claims lack merit and fall outside the statute of limitations. The court has scheduled a hearing in April 2025 to address this motion, with the lawsuit continuing to unfold as part of the larger legal battles Combs is facing.

  • Murder In Moscow: Bryan Kohberger And The Alleged Phone Calls After The Murders (5/15/25)
Following the November 2022 murders of four University of Idaho students, suspect Bryan Kohberger's phone records revealed a series of unsettling activities. Investigators discovered that Kohberger, a criminology Ph.D. student at Washington State University, conducted online searches related to serial killer Ted Bundy and viewed pornography depicting nonconsensual acts, using keywords such as "forced," "passed out," "drugged," and "sleeping" . Additionally, surveillance footage showed a white Hyundai Elantra, matching Kohberger's vehicle, circling the victims' residence multiple times on the night of the murders . Cellphone tower data further indicated that Kohberger's phone connected near the victims' house 23 times in the four months leading up to the murders, often during nighttime hours .

These findings, combined with DNA evidence linking Kohberger to the crime scene, have strengthened the prosecution's case against him. Despite this, Kohberger has pleaded not guilty and maintains his innocence, claiming he was out driving alone on the night of the murders . His trial is scheduled to begin on August 11, 2025, in Ada County, Idaho . If convicted, he could face the death penalty.

  • Diddy Responds To The Request To Let Cassie Confer With Her Lawyers Between Cross And Direct (5/15/25)
In a response letter addressed to Judge Arun Subramanian, the defense team representing Sean "Diddy" Combs reiterated their objection to witnesses consulting with attorneys during breaks in cross-examination. Referencing the government’s and Cassie Ventura’s legal counsel’s previous filings, the defense argued that the reasoning laid out in Perry v. Leeke, 488 U.S. 272 (1989), supports their position. They claimed that the risks of witness coaching or testimony manipulation identified by the Supreme Court in Perry are not only relevant but even more pronounced in the present case due to the high-profile nature and complexity of the allegations.

The defense maintained that to preserve the integrity of the proceedings and ensure the truthfulness of testimony, the court should bar all witnesses from communicating with any third parties—including their own lawyers—while they remain under cross-examination. They argued that even brief consultations during recesses could compromise the adversarial process and allow for improper influence or coordinated narrative adjustments. Accordingly, the defense asked the court to issue a clear order prohibiting such communications for the duration of a witness's cross-examination.

  • The Government's Motion To Allow Cassie To Confer With Her Lawyers Between Direct And Cross (5/15/25)
In a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, the Government opposed Sean "Diddy" Combs’s request to bar witnesses from speaking with their attorneys during breaks in cross-examination. Prosecutors argued that the defense provided no legal precedent supporting such a prohibition, especially regarding third-party witnesses with independent counsel. The Government noted that the defense’s reliance on Perry v. Leeke was misplaced, as that Supreme Court decision focused specifically on a testifying defendant’s communication with their attorney during a brief recess—not third-party witnesses.

The letter emphasized that the Supreme Court, in Perry, actually underscored the constitutional limits of such communication bans, particularly that overnight restrictions would violate the Sixth Amendment. The Government also cited United States v. Triumph Capital Group, a Second Circuit case, to highlight that brief, mid-day limitations on defendant-attorney discussions may be permissible, but broader restrictions—especially those impacting non-party witnesses—pose serious constitutional concerns. Ultimately, the Government asked the court to reject the defense’s request and preserve witnesses' rights to consult with counsel during trial breaks.

  • The Diddy Trial: Cassie Ventura Gives Dramatic Testimony During Day 3 (Part 2) (5/15/25)
On the third day of Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial, Cassie Ventura delivered harrowing testimony detailing years of alleged abuse during their 11-year relationship. She recounted being coerced into drug-fueled sexual encounters, termed "freak-offs," often involving male escorts and filmed by Combs for blackmail purposes. Ventura described suffering physical injuries, including a 2013 incident where Combs threw a vase at her, resulting in a cut to her eyebrow. She also testified about a 2016 assault captured on hotel surveillance footage, where Combs was seen attacking her in a hallway. Despite settling a civil lawsuit in 2023 for $20 million, Ventura chose to testify in the criminal trial to confront the truth and end her silence.

Ventura further alleged that Combs raped her in 2018 after their breakup, during a visit to her home following a lunch meeting intended for closure. She described the assault as swift and traumatic, stating she cried and said "no," but Combs proceeded regardless. Additionally, Ventura testified about the psychological toll of the abuse, revealing she suffered from PTSD and had contemplated suicide before seeking therapy in 2023. Her testimony also included claims that Combs threatened others, including rapper Kid Cudi, and used explicit videos to manipulate and control her. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges and remains in custody; if convicted, he faces up to life in prison.

  • Cassie Ventura Opposes The Request By The Media Coalition To Make The Videos Public (5/15/25)
In a formal letter addressed to Judge Arun Subramanian, the legal team representing Casandra Ventura opposed a motion filed by various news organizations seeking access to sealed sexually explicit videos that are to be introduced as evidence in the federal sex trafficking trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs. Ventura’s attorneys argued that the request to unseal and publicly disseminate such deeply personal and graphic material is unprecedented in the context of a sex trafficking case. They emphasized that the videos in question allegedly depict coercive sexual acts and should remain sealed to protect Ventura’s privacy, dignity, and emotional well-being, especially given the trauma associated with the alleged abuse.

The letter further asserted that the news organizations failed to cite any legal precedent supporting their demand and that permitting reporters to watch and listen to these videos during trial proceedings would only serve to sensationalize Ventura’s victimization. Her counsel urged the court to uphold the integrity of the proceedings by balancing the public’s right to access against the victim’s right to be shielded from unnecessary exploitation and re-traumatization. The motion, they argued, could deter future victims from coming forward if courts begin allowing graphic evidence of their abuse to be broadcast or publicly scrutinized in the name of transparency.

  • A Coalition Of News Agencies Moves To Make The Salacious Diddy/Cassie Videos Public (5/15/25)
On May 12, 2025, a coalition of major news organizations—including ABC News, The Associated Press, The New York Times, and NPR—submitted a formal letter to U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian. They expressed concern over proposed restrictions on public access to certain audiovisual exhibits in the federal sex trafficking trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs. The government had indicated plans to present sensitive evidence, including sexually explicit videos, in a manner that would be visible and audible only to the jury, court, and parties involved, excluding the public and press. The media coalition argued that such limitations would infringe upon the First Amendment rights of the public and press to access criminal trials, especially given the high-profile nature of the case and the serious allegations involved.

The news organizations acknowledged the sensitive content of the exhibits and the privacy interests of the alleged victims. However, they contended that these concerns could be addressed without entirely closing the courtroom. As an alternative, they proposed allowing a limited number of pool reporters to view and hear the exhibits as they are presented to the jury. This approach, they argued, would balance the need for public oversight with the protection of victim privacy. The letter emphasized the significant public interest in the proceedings, noting Combs' prominence in the entertainment industry and the gravity of the charges he faces, which include sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. The court's decision on this matter will set a precedent for how sensitive evidence is handled in high-profile criminal trials.

  • Kirk Burrowes And The Lawsuit Filed Against Diddy And His Mom Janice Combs (Part 7) (5/15/25)
In the case of Burrowes v. Smalls et al., filed in the Southern District of New York under Index No. 25-1618, plaintiff Kirk Burrowes brings a civil action against defendants including Janice Smalls (also known as Janice Combs), James Doe 1, Lawyer Doe 1, ABC Company 1, John and Jane Does 1-10, and ABC Corporations 1-10. The complaint alleges that the defendants engaged in actions that caused harm to the plaintiff, leading to the pursuit of legal remedies.

Kirk Burrowes, co-founder and former president of Bad Boy Entertainment, has filed a lawsuit against Janice Combs (also known as Janice Smalls), alleging her involvement in a scheme to unlawfully seize his 25% stake in the company. The complaint asserts that in 1996, Sean "Diddy" Combs, accompanied by the company's attorney, Kenneth Meiselas, confronted Burrowes with a baseball bat, coercing him into signing over his ownership stake to Janice Combs. Burrowes claims that this act was part of a broader plan orchestrated by Janice Combs to gain full control of Bad Boy Entertainment, employing tactics of intimidation, violence, and financial deception. He further alleges that following this incident, he was blacklisted from the music industry, resulting in financial ruin and homelessness. Burrowes is seeking damages for financial losses, reinstatement of his ownership interest, and a forensic audit of the company's financial records since its inception.
