Are you familiar with Forest Therapy? Have you ever wondered why a walk engulfed in nature is calming to us?
Today I am thrilled to have Emily Wolf McMane as a guest. Emily is a close, real-life friend, and every time we chat I leave refreshed and enlightened - as if I had discovered an oasis of thoughtfulness and calm in a sea of clutter.
Emily Wolf McMane is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Forest Therapy Guide with over 14 years of experience working in mental health. She is one of the most brilliant, empathetic, thoughtful people I know, and supports her clients across areas like depression, anxiety, trauma survivors, relationship issues, family conflict, identity, letting go of perfectionism, finding life purpose, and navigating major life changes.
She is a programmatic and clinical supervisor at Seneca Family of Agencies, a non-profit serving children and families throughout the state of California and parts of Washington. She has a private psychotherapy practice, and also works as a forest therapy guide in the North Bay Area, offering both community led walks as well as private walks for individuals, families, and small groups.
