Much was made of Jim Carrey's first high-profile dramatic turn in 1998's The Truman Show, but the truth is the original version of the film was much darker and a lot more cerebral. The HDYR gang traces the project's origins as an edgy sci-fi thriller and discuss how it evolved into this decidedly lighter take.
