This is episode 51 of The Truth Tank.
On this episode we will be looking at one of the most anticipated films of the year Oppenheimer. We will start off the episode with a look back at the films of movie master Christopher Nolan from Memento, Insomnia, The Prestige, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, Interstellar, Dunkirk and Tenet.
No two Nolan films are the same he is a filmmaker that has crossed genres and styles, leaving his style and trademark non linear, paradoxical time bending stamp on his films, and Oppenheimer is no different.
Finally we will take a deep dive into Oppenheimer Nolan's latest masterpiece, the 3 hour biopic about the man who developed the Atomic Bomb and the complex backdrop of World War 2, his unorthodox personal life and the race to build the bomb. To keep things as interesting and as Nolan-esque as possible the review will be a non liner film review.

This is episode 50 of The Truth TankÂ
On this episode, We will be taking a deep dive into the fifth and final instalment of the Indiana Jones Series. First up an in depth review of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny; What worked and What didnât? The Good, The Bad and The Annoying.
The film was plagued with problems from its several year delay of the theatrical release, to Spielberg stepping down as director, to numerous rewrites of the script, Covid, on set injuries, poor test screenings, reshoots and running over budget.
Secondly, We will look at the astronomical budget. The Dial of Destiny is Lucasfilmâs most expensive film they have produced, Needing to make nearly 900 million to make a profit. Indy 5 isnât the only Big Budget summer blockbuster to under perform this year. Itâs one of a growing list of movies that have not only under performed at the box office but have failed to make any kind of profit.
Disneyâs last 3 movies have lost nearly a billion dollars, youâve really got to ask; What is the problem? Is this the new normal for big budget films? Has streaming and the cost of living changed what studios should expect to make with their big releases? And finally, We will look at how the Dial of Destiny compares box office wise to the previous 4 Indy films and was Phoebe Waller-Bridge the reason behind some of the re-writes? Promos:

This is episode 46 of The Truth Tank.
It's that time of the year again, Oscars Time! We will be reviewing and recapping the Winners, the Losers, the Snubs, the Memorable Moments and the funny & unfunny cringy blatantly obvious favouritism that is the 2023 Academy Awards.Â
It's hard to believe its been a year since the infamous slap served by Will Smith and the damage that came afterwards. In the past few years, it seems that some of the Oscars are awarded purely for Political or Social Reasons which makes you think "Are the Academy Awards still relevant?". The more the Academy panders to Political Correctness, Social Justice and what is relevant, the more it feels irrelevant.
The Academy also gives the impression of favouring two films, which are then played off against each other, creating a false sense of conflict/competition. This years favourites being "Everything Everywhere All At Once" vs "All Quiet On The Western Front". "Elvis" and "Tar" are examples of great Films that were snubbed. Are the Oscars playing favourites, Pandering, Stuck in thier own little bubble or just plain rigged?

This is episode 44 of The Truth Tank.
On this episode, We will be looking at the Recently Released and Eagerly Anticipated trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny .
What is the Dial of Destiny? Is there any weight to the rumours surrounding Indy 5; such as the de-ageing of Indy, The time travel plot and Indyâs possible replacement in a Disney+ TV series? The trailer is full of action and concerning questions to any die hard Indiana Jones fan. Can James Mangold save the day or will Disney destroy another beloved franchise.
Also looked at will be, Is Disney ageist? Are we going to see another beloved action hero disrespected by the woke Hollywood machine? Disney and Kathleen Kennedyâs war on beloved 80s action icons. Has KK gone to far this time? Has diversity destroyed modern movies to the point that modern films are just vehicles for the studios social messaging?
