His Story: Ryan served for over 20-years as both an enlisted Soldier & NCO and later as an Officer. • Episode 104 with Patrick Burt

"It’s an interesting transition going from having everything taken care of for you to out on your own in the civilian world in the matter of a few days. The challenges are extremely steep, you don’t have anyone to rely on, and you don’t entirely know what to do. The only thing I really knew is that this was my opportunity to shine and I couldn’t quit and I couldn’t back down. Giving this my all in the early stages, I’d work seven days a week from roughly 7AM to 11PM at a Starbucks in order to maximize the amount of time I’d learn and grow I could achieve in a day.

It wasn’t until recently that I was able to see the fruits of my effort ....."

modern-day nightmare, but worse—she had no idea why? There was
