We are so lucky to have had filmmaker Robby Henson as our guest. We spent the whole show picking his brain on his own impressive film catalog, the Pioneer Playhouse in Danville, Kentucky, and his favorite, most influential movies. This episode was broadcast July 5, 2018 on WLXU 93.9 FM, Lexington Community Radio.
This past week, we had a fantastic show with Wesley Johnson of the Daviess County Public Library in Owensboro, KY. He joined us because the library recently hosted an event one of the subjects of the new film "American Animals." Not one of the actors, mind you, but Chas Allen, one of the conspirators/robbers who participated in the crime. Wes joined us to help review the film, and we all listed our favorite heist films (there are a lot of them). Wes was a great guest, and we think you'll enjoy his insight. This show was originally broadcast on Thursday, June 28, 2018, on WLXU 93.9 FM Lexington Community Radio.
Lucy and Paul review the new film "Tag," not to be confused with the silent German film "Tag," which may or may not exist. In tribute to the film they each give their list of favorite male friendship movies, and of course the latest in movie news. This show was originally broadcast on June 21, 2018, on WLXU 93.9 FM Lexington Community Radio.
Lucy and Paul review the new "How To Talk to Girls at Parties" and come up with their list of favorite hot alien-on-human love stories on film in honor of the movie. They also review the latest movie news, and Paul goes down a historical rabbit hole at least slightly tied to the film industry. This show was originally broadcast June 7, 2018, on WLXU 93.9 FM Lexington Community Radio.
