Hello listeners! Taylor and Emily are back for Episode 45, and boy are we still on our bullshit. Taylor tells the story of Lydia Preston, who survived serial killer Thor Nis Christiansen, and Emily wells us about a few survivors from FUCKING WACO. All while drinking tiny bottles of very bad alcohol.
WE'RE ON A BOAT. Ok, we're not. We're at Emily's and we have no mic stands--but in our hearts, we are on a boat. This time we drink really bad wine as Emily tells us about how a sailor named Debra survived a shipwreck and shark-infested waters, and we drink even worse wine while Taylor recounts the tale of a ship called the Endurance and a failed Trans-Antarctic mission.
We had so much fun with this one, we hope you will too!
Hey all! It's a Monday, so you know what that means! Darkness...soul crushing blackness...staring straight into the void and hoping it doesn't look back...with jokes!!
Emily tells the incredible story of a man named James Cameron (not that Avatar fuck) who survived a lynching, and who she got to meet in person! Taylor rounds out this laugh-fest with the story of Paul Andrews, aka The Boy in the Box.
And we have with us our favorite special guest, Kat! We hope you enjoy it! We promise it's fun. We swear.
It's Black History Month! Get your drinks ready, because we have some stories of people who survived the horrors of slavery, and, while that sounds like the biggest bummer, we assure you it is also inspiring and important. Taylor tells the story of Cudjo (Kossula) Lewis, a survivor of the last slave trade ship to dock in America, and Emily reminds us of the incredible story of Robert Lewis, a black war hero and politician.
WE'RE BACK! Thanks for sticking with us. New episodes will now be released every other Monday.
Emily tells the story of Josefina Rivera, an incredible survivor of disgusting trash bag Gary Heidnik. Taylor talks about a girl named Erica Pratt, who saved herself from a kidnapping attempt in 2002.
In our first episode of the new year, Taylor tells the story of a man who survived being at the mouth of a volcano when it erupted, and Emily talks about an amazing woman who survived a flesh eating virus and went on to be a huge badass.
Note: Apologies for the clipping at the beginning, it gets better after the first 30 seconds.
Helloooooo! This episode Emily comes at you with a very recent story of a girl who survived the Broken Arrow Killings, and Taylor talks about Claudia Brenner, a young woman who survived a hate crime, and spefically 5 gunshot wounds.
WE'RE BACK! We're so glad to bring you this new episode. Taylor tells us the story of the unkillable Charles Lightholler, and Emily takes us back to Jamestown to talk about how none of these people should have survived at all.
It's a true crime episode! Emily tells the story of Jennifer Morey, who survived an attack in her own home, while Taylor regails us with the tale of Cindy Paulson, a survivor of serial killer Robert Hansen (aka Butcher, Baker).
