  • Why Christians Struggle With the Same Sins w/ John V. Ruggiero

Why do sincere believers who genuinely love God often remain trapped in recurring cycles of sin despite their desire to change?

Today, we sit down with John V. Ruggiero—author of Re-Forming: Transformation Through Reconstruction—for a deep and eye-opening conversation about spiritual formation and why behavior modification alone rarely produces lasting freedom .

John's journey began with a simple but profound question: what did Paul mean when he spoke of "sin dwelling in my members" in Romans 7? That question led him to years of biblical study and a framework that explains why transformation often seems real for a season, only to fade .

Through careful study of Romans 6–8, John discovered that transformation is not merely behavior modification—it is the process of spiritual formation. Spiritual "members" are formed within the soul through repeated focus, agreement, experiences, habits, and desires. These structures become places through which either sin or Christ can express life .

    In this episode, we cover:

    · Why transformation often fades after spiritual experiences

    · What Paul meant by "sin dwelling in my members"

    · The difference between behavior modification and heart transformation

    · How destructive patterns become deeply rooted in the soul

    · The Nine Progressions that govern formation

    · The journey from Romans 7 struggle to Romans 8 freedom

    · How Christ can be formed within believers for lasting change

    · Practical steps to regain passion for Jesus

    · Why willpower alone often fails

After graduating from UNC Greensboro with multiple degrees, she began her writing career helping small businesses with content creation and published five award-winning nonfiction self-help books dealing with real estate and finance .

But it was in 2017, after finally getting out of a 14-year emotionally abusive marriage, that Teri began writing fiction—a lifelong dream . Upon winning the First Annual Anita Bloom Ornoff Award for Inspirational Short Story, she began writing in earnest .

  • You've Done the Work—Why Do You Still Feel Unsettled? – Cheryl Stelte

This conversation is for spiritually mature women who have done the therapy, read the books, and meditated for years—yet still sense something deeper hasn't fully shifted.

Cheryl Stelte knows this terrain intimately. Her journey began over 30 years ago on a beach on Vancouver Island, when a ball of white light appeared above her during a kinesiology session. She knew immediately it was her deceased brother, who had taken his life a year and a half earlier . He communicated through her friend, urging her to start meditating . Diagnosed posthumously with bipolar disorder, his message inspired her to begin meditating, which led her to heal her own depression, tinnitus, chronic neck and shoulder pain, and significant emotional wounds .

She later discovered that the meditation practice she developed on her own—using long, full breaths—was actually accessing her subconscious, allowing repressed emotions to surface and heal . Her journey took her to live with indigenous tribes—the Maasai in Kenya and the Shuar in Ecuador—where she uncovered hidden parts of herself and learned to step into her authentic power . A near-death experience in Uganda revealed her soul's purpose and confirmed she was meant to be a healer .

Today, she is the founder of the Star of Divine Light Institute, a spiritual coach, master healer, and author of three books . Through her proprietary Azarias Energy Healing work, she helps women clear subconscious and energetic patterns at the root, so they can finally feel settled in their bodies, clear in their direction, and grounded in who they truly are .

    In this episode, we explore:

🌀 The Vancouver Island Awakening – Cheryl shares the powerful story of her brother's spirit appearing as a ball of white light and how that moment redirected her entire life .

🧠 Healing vs. Embodiment – She explains why insight alone doesn't create transformation, and why subconscious and energetic protection patterns can feel like identity .

🔮 Azarias Energy Healing – Cheryl introduces her proprietary healing method, which facilitates non-linear, spirit-led release at the soul level .

🗣️ The Root-to-Throat Connection – She explains how early conditioning—even in the womb—creates a throat-chakra bottleneck that stifles voice, visibility, and receiving .

💎 The Receive Practice – Cheryl shares a simple but powerful practice: hand on heart, "Thank you, I receive that," breathe it in—rewiring overgiving and people-pleasing patterns .

💀 The Deathbed Exercise – She offers a life-changing practice: asking what will matter on your deathbed to make better decisions now .

    What Listeners Gain:

    · A new understanding of the difference between healing and embodiment

    · Permission to stop pushing and start listening to your energy system

    · Practical tools for releasing subconscious blocks and reclaiming your voice

    · The reminder that other people's behavior is not your responsibility
