In episode twelve, host Brett Stanley is talking to Activist, Artist, and Photographer Benjamin Von Wong. Ben’s work is probably best described as epic, ranging from his earlier photography work which had him collaborating with amazing subjects around the world, to his latest installation work building incredible sculptures and artworks from unusual objects that hope to provoke and motivate people to take action on issues like recycling, child hunger, and of course our oceans.

Whilst not a full time underwater photographer, Ben has created some incredible imagery with very little experience, and his journey from playing in a pool with friends to tying models to shipwrecks is really inspiring. Ben also has his own podcast, called Impact Everywhere all about creating a Positive Impact in Unexpected Places.

We chat about more of the films Pete's worked on, mostly recent ones like Ad Astra, Into The Wild, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which features a scene involving a flame throwing Leonardo DiCaprio!

Pete also gives us some great tips on how to handle a large camera housing underwater, how the transition from analog film to digital changed the way he works ,and the worst situation he's been in which, from a guy who wrestles sharks underwater, is pretty interesting

Pete also runs one of the best known underwater cinema housing and lighting companies in the world, Hydroflex. He’s been a stunt man, a hoarder of underwater film memorabilia, and he talked Al Pachino in to going for a swim!
