This is something special. To me it's epic. By the end of this month we will have featured 100 songs, reviewed every one, and interviewed every artist that agreed to join us in our Live Feed fan chat Interviews. We've made friends and expanded everything. We brought a music based podcast to the airwaves before any body else and we did it in a unique way. It's a competition, it's a battle, but more importantly it's a gathering, it's a community. The artist them selves decide how much or how little of what we do they use. and there for helping us with our goal. My hope when creating this project wasn't to be famous or meet bands and fans that simply shared my interest for great unsigned Metal Punk, Alternative, or Rock. My goal was to be the megaphone that these musicians were missing. To be the discovery platform for the next big thing. One day people will discover that the independent bands are just as good if not better the the signed bands that are being shoved down our throats every day. See a record label has a guy or two reviewing music. That dude makes or breaks the band chance. Here we are doing what those labels do but here you are those dudes. You discover the sounds you like, you support the artists that you like, and isn't that a better way. Our only problem is getting the zombie drones that have been hypnotized to realize theres a better way.

Hello bands fans new and old. Welcome to the final September installment of The Unsigned Countdowns Underground Recap Sessions. In this episode the gang will be talking tracks and more, we will bring you fun and excitement, along with the announcement of our September winner. The top band of the month and one of ten bands that will move on to compete in our upcoming November finale.In a month packed with metal it was a hard fought battle that left even the fans hard pressed to pick a winner. So sit back and listen to a discussion about music, life and of course meth.

Life is full of historic moments and this episode definitely ranks among them. This month we at Jarcodes teamed up with a promoter from Poland named Vlad and although he was excited to have his bands enter the Countdown that spotlights Metal Rock Punk and Alternative music from some of the best Independent and Unsigned Bands Musicians and Artists on the planet. He did very little if anything to actually promote the show or his bands involvement. We do want to thank every band for joining this months battle. It's hard to believe that a band would spend so much time creating a great song, submit it with bio, and more, only to ignore the fact that they were even in a fight for our top spot. Can you tell that I'm a bit bitter? That truth is that we put a great deal of time and effort into this project and put aside other worthy submissions to accommodate Vlad so the lack of attention was a major let down to not only myself but everybody that works so hard to make every show a great as they are.

This month the podcast went guns blazing full on metal, and the bone crushing earball splitting First Five bands are what Tony, Adam, Johan, Jason, and Jacob are getting together to discuss. Since each co-host comes from different backgrounds in music you know there is bound to be some arguing. Thats what we do here at The Unsigned Countdown and Underground Recap Sessions. We feature and offer free airplay to Metal, Punk, Alternative, and Rock, musicians bands and artists, We then keep them on the hook and our song judges on the hot seat as we use the Recap Sessions to ask them all why they ranked the songs the way they dod. What was it that one band did right or what one musician did that might have turned them away. The guys are serious about offering feedback and honest advise but alqays seem to loose themselves in the fun of their job.

Here it is. That moment in history. We have come around to yet another Top Five. Not just any Top Five. This is the August Top Five, and here in this month, in this episode influences abound. We have always said that we are looking for the best Independent and Unsigned Metal, Punk, Rock, and Alternative music from Every band Musician and artist out there willing to go head to head in our Countdown. Each month we feature Ten songs from the above genres. We then offer the list of competing bands to our learned and wise group of music judges, and they take their time listening and ranking each song into a list from ten to number one. A role and job each takes very seriously I assure you. Each Judge comes from different backgrounds, varied histories, and have a wide array of influences. For those wondering, thats how the order of the songs is decided. We then break the list in two so that you don't have to spend hours discovering new music, and Those shows are now known world wide to thousands of you fanatic fans as "The First Five" and "The Top Five". Here in the Top Five we have a lot of great songs, but we also offer you the fanatic fans a chance to over throw the judges decision and choose the number one band of the month from the "Top Two". Our first submission is a heavy band that you may want to keep an eye on. Supernaut72 combines a slow groove with heavy tones, to create a unique style that will be fun to see develop. Soon after we move on to a newer artist, but one full of very interesting ideas. Cotard Dilusion may still be learning but the concepts being developed are something you must here to believe. Like an excited kid with new toys, this musician seems to be packing tracks with everything and will soon master his craft and explode onto the independent scene. My Hands In Chains is up afterwards and brought a controversial tune that is like a brain infection. This was a track that never stopped moving on our judges lists and while ranked here in the First Five will most definitely rank in your rotation much higher. For me it was like listening to heavy metal underwater, and you can here more about how each judge felt next week in our "Underground Recap Sessions". Moving on tto a submission that will make you smile. Not while banging your head, but while bobbing it. Zapruder Point brings a fun bar song to the Countdown, and along with its simplicity comes some great lyrics, and a comfortable feel. Finally wrapping up our August First Five with a is what has been called a departure from the Metal we've been used to. An Atlas to Advance ends the show with perfect production, an grand epic feel, and more. Tony was heard saying " It made me wear a sweater, glasses I didn't need, hug my teddy bear, and cry" if music is made to cause emotional reactions, this track nail it.
